Why Hublot Are HATED

Nothing special. Same case design repeatedly, add some diamonds, etc. There is NOTHING special about them.

If price is the main issue, people must also have the same distaste for Rolex models with ungodly premiums and towards those who buy them
A Rolex movement in ss is not worth 40k. More transparency and upping their game on the movements would be better for consumers, but ultimately, it is not my money so I do not care very much. Let people spend their money on what they like. A brand's perceived worth is not limited to the raw cost of production anyway.

If they lined up their screws they would go up tenfold in my eyes. Even on the sapphire case, cross-eyed screws everywhere

i wear tag connected and it is similar to hublot case i say. im not into mechanical things but their cases are amaaing so hublot is kick ass compare to rolex for example.

The "first rubber strap on a gold watch" thing just sounds like they're selling a watch with cheaper material for an outrageous price. Yes, it is ingenious to find a way to market cheaper materials at the same high prices, avoiding the cost of manufacturing a gold bracelet. However, this is not for the benefit of the consumer, and we should stop acting like it is. Had they reduced the price relative to the reduction in production costs, I might feel differently. If I wanted to put a gold watch on a rubber strap, I would just buy an aftermarket strap and keep the gold bracelet safely stored in the box. I don't care about Hublot one way or the other, but some of the things people pick as examples of the brand's ingenuity are just lame.

AP was not based on a porthole. It was based on diving helmet. That why it is octagonal, not round as a porthole. Have you ever seen the octagonal porthole? I have not.

I love hublot , but it baffles me why they arent using symetrical crew heads on their watches . I mean it would make it so much more aesthic.

The Big Bang screws unevenly aligned trigger my ocd in a bad way. I would not be able wearing it just for that reason.

Hublot deserves the hate for sure. It's gotten enough praise and made enough money, and ripped enough people off. It's the equivalent of the puzzle day date of rolex - telling people that i'm so rich that i can pay for something over priced for something worst

Maybe because many people can't even look at them...Being expensive but weird pushes the people away. To me Hublot's philosophy seems to be: If you don't like me you don't know watches. A self respecting company should have bunch of styles for buyers with different tastes. That's the formula that gives Breitling for example much better revenue.

After all the hate Hublot is getting, i kinda want one more and more.

Hublot is not really my style yet I think the company puts out some fine pieces. Though they do not produce in house movements is not an issue with me. Besides most companies who claim their movements are in house, they are often times just slightly modded base movements.

How is it conceivable that they made a 25 min video about this brand and did not mention the biggest issue of the crooked screws! I like some of the designs but could never wear one for that one main reason it would drive me nuts that the screws were not lined up properly! I mean how hard can that be for a $10K+ watch???

I know some guy in Belfast that's doing a great job at dissing that brand and just because if him I'll never get a hublot 😅 and to be honest he makes a good case on why he hates the brand

OVER priced... good but VERY cheep movements(IN GENERAL)
So basically a total RIP OFF, price wise. Making a homage watch, isn't the issue... charging that price with the movement the often use IS.
No it's NO a very differnt brand

Why are Hublot Watches So Hated? Because watch geeks like grandad style watches, watches with designs that are 50 years out of date. Watch geeks hate the new, the innovative, yet put a green bezel insert on a Rolex they will start gushing.

After watching this, Hublot is the Michael Bay of the watch world.

IWC use the 7750 and their prices are pretty expensive.

The biggest gripe for me is the screws in the bezel. You pay over the odds for something and they can’t even put the screws in symmetrical? Maybe that’s just OCD, or maybe there’s some sort of reason behind it, but the fact nobody talks about it? That’s personally what I hate the most!

Those screws. Have my ADD triggered. Two not well placed logos on the face. Gaudy and bulky design. I would care less about not looking Hublot or Panerei or anything that flys in that realm. I hated them before the Irish man, I'll hate then unless they turn a sharp corner. I do believe in watch companies pivoting and changing their reputation and overall design language which both of these have a design language that is the absence of any consistency.
