I wish you had used a 16GB version of M3 Mac. I have M1 macs of 8gb and 16 GB variants and there is a significant diff in CPU performance even when not suing using that full 8gb ram. i dunno why

I'm an photo/video editor and I like some gaming now and then. I would love to see some real gaming tests on these m3, m3 pro and m3 max machines as I'm up for an upgrade. I know they're snappy, but I can't seem to find real gaming content on these. Also the binned/unbinned versions confuse me a lot. Hope to hear from you :)

battery life is better on the m3 as opposed to the m3 pro. which for most people who are not doing all the audio/video editting is more important than a faster computer. i bet 90% of people are just surfing web and not doing video/audio editting.

I think Apple is cruel for putting these models so close together in terms of confusing words. I went to several Best Buy’s and Micro Centers while messaging tech people all over the internet to find the difference between the two. A lot of people did not even know the difference between the “MacBook Pro M3” and “Macbook Pro “M3 Pro”. I almost bought the wrong model. I was looking for the “M3 Pro” and definitely wanted that Space Black in a 18GB of Ram and 1TB of Storage in a 14 inch (Brand New/Sealed).

The Best Buy manager gave me a huge discount for my 30th birthday $2,167.19 out the door. I just did any unboxing of it on my channel.

I know it must be a way to compare, but honestly, comparing a 8Gb ram model base inferior CPU to a better CPU and more than twice ram is dumb. It will be obviously better. To make a fair comparison and for an end user from real worl that wants to check if a MBP M3 with more ram is closer to a MBP M3Pro, and it's a better deal for the obvious losses like the screen, the sound, the gpu cores. Your comparison is nothing different than the one Apple makes "hey, if you're pro, go pro because it goes BRRRR"...

I just did the Cinebench 2024 test on my sluggish 2017 MacBook pro 3.1 GHz core i5 & got a score of 113, i think it’s time to upgrade to the MacBook pro M3 pro

Only apple can produce laptop with 8 gb ram and people buys it. When we customers show to apple that it is not acceptable with our wallets - apple will understand that 8gb not enough and charge 200$ for extra 8gb or 256gb ssd is not acceptable at all

I think comparing 8 GB RAM vs 16 GB is not a useful because you are mixing 2 variables (RAM & CPU) at the same time. I think M3’s longer battery life can be useful for many people. But SSD speed difference is interesting. Why should it have different speed in SSD?

The maxed out M3 Uktra with nax CPU/GPU cores & nax Ram abd SSD Memory will hardly manage these Tasks but with Apple ( Tim Cook ) playing ganes about actual releSe date of the M 4 Macbook Pro Ultra he forced us to return our $5000 M3 Pro and purchase the Razer ade 16/18 with I 14900 K & RTX 4090. most people do not have 5 tabs open at once, I never have, and the fact the the M3 could do it at all is still amaxzing, so you have to wait 30 seconds longer, wow, people are really impatient these days

The M3 was not throttling one fan is enough for that system but is was the RAM because the 16GB one scored better
