I just started bible studying, this week! I've always studied what we learned at church but not actually reading the bible... I use the NKJV study bible along with my husbands amplified bible. I like them both when studying.
ОтветитьForgot to mention, I was looking at your videos last night. I wanted to keep track everyday the chapters I read. If you could share (on basic notebook paper ) a log of how to track this it would awesome.
ОтветитьAmen the most important thing is just asking the Holy Spirit to lead you as you go through the bible. He can reveal a lot to you.
ОтветитьNLT, ESV, and I like just reading the Message
ОтветитьI use the KJV, ESV, RSV. Even with the different interpretations you still need wisdom and guidence from God. Tfs ❤ Rhonda
ОтветитьThank you for sharing these tips! I currently use the NLT and I like the KJV, AMPC and TPT versions as well.
ОтветитьMy study Bible is the Life Application Bible. It has wonderful notes and background information for each book of the Bible. I do use the Bible Gateway and the Blue Letter Bible Apps for comparing chapters and verses which also comes in handy when doing verse mapping which I am just starting to do.
ОтветитьEach time I read the Bible I like reading different translations. Sometimes I like writing out different verses In those translations because I get something different from them.
ОтветитьMy favorite version is NLT
ОтветитьWhen I study the Bible I like to use the CSB or ESV. But I enjoy the NLT for devotions.
ОтветитьRight now I'm using the classic Amplified and ESV Bibles. They are really helping me deeply study.
ОтветитьI prefer the literal, word for word translations. I have found them to be more accurate (after spending hours and hours each day trying to compare it to original languages - which I don't recommend you do if you are a beginner. I am not a beginner but found it quite a challenge as I am not a Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic scholar.) The NIV was my first Bible and it's great for beginners. But it has chunks of scripture missing (as many modern translations do) I like the NASB and KJV (I find these to be most accurate translations). I also have NKJV and Amplified as extra helps when I need other translations.
ОтветитьGreat tips!
ОтветитьI like to use the KjV, and the NASB.
ОтветитьI like the NIV, NLT and HCSB, and the NKJV. I have a copy of NIV life application and HCSB life application bibles. I love them and I use You Version and Bible Study Tools on my cell phone. I use the KJV for scripture writing. Bible study is easier and more efficient for me now. I use lots of your tips and lessons. Thank you. I use a notebook and loose leaf paper and a binder I made from your video. I can't draw but at least I can keep organized with my stuff LOL LOL I keep pens and highlighter in a case and I keep them to a minimum LOL :)
ОтветитьI love NLV. However my paper copy is NIV. You Version is amazing!
ОтветитьNLT is my fave!
ОтветитьThis is so helpful!!
ОтветитьThank you for inspiring me to get back into my bible...your a blessing! 🥰⚘📖🖋
ОтветитьI have an NIV bible
Ответитьwow that's a hard question, growing up my pastor used NIV so I used that version for years. I like the amplified version for the way it helps expound on things. My favorite right now would have to be the ESV though, I think it fits nicely in the middle of the versions I like. I love YouVersion and the option for so many comparisons of versions.
ОтветитьGreat tips. Love it.
ОтветитьI teach how to study the Bible on my channel but I teach it the way the Lord showed me to teach because I met Jesus face to face 16 years ago when I tried to kill myself and he saved me from going to hell I was one step away from going to hell and he was very loud and very angry when he said these words to me he said my people not just the people he said my people do not know my word! and he told me he said I'm going to teach you how to study the Bible and you teach what I teach you so on my channel it's not coming from man or any preacher or anybody is coming directly from Jesus Christ himself every bit of it and I had people on my channel tell me they said ma'am I've been studying the Bible for many many years and I've never understood it until I've tried it the way that you show me so you guys come on by cuz you're learning directly under God himself
ОтветитьNew sub! Looking forward to your teachings! 🌸🌸🌸
ОтветитьI use the NASB Bible the most.
Have learned so much about the Lord and His sacrifice for us and His love
Can I use an ESV?
ОтветитьMy favorite is the NLT and NIV. I just bought the she reads truth bible for taking note. My study Bible is too gorgeous to write in and it was a gift from my husband.
ОтветитьRandom thought. I wanted to share this.
So, what to read first in studying the Bible? Many people say: one of the Gospels cuz its about the life of Jesus. Mark, is the shortest. Matthew's is the longest. Mark or Luke may be easier in the beginning. Just my opinion. But my question is this:
Suppose you've just finished doing that.
Now what? Here's my thoughts:
I would recommend to then read (and this may NOT be what you were thinking):
1st & 2nd Timothy. Why? You may be new to Christianity, or Bible Study. In these letters, Paul is guiding/advising young Timothy in the ways of things Christian. So I thinks its good to get to that early on. That, and also--
Read the book of James.
This, i feel, is often overlooked but its also "where the rubber meets the road". Why? Because James deals with the real-life, everyday, what-do-i-do-when-I'm-not-in-church LIVING of your Christian Faith. Know this early on.
I sometimes wonder what folks would do if the Bible didn't have Romans or the gospel of John in it. I feel like some people over-emphasize those books. Yes, Read them. They are part of the new testament. But I think what I recommended above, makes for a good Foundation in the beginning.
That would be me!!!!
ОтветитьJust love how you teach us!

I love The Learning Bible. Bought it for $.50. I heard a local Bible College uses it. Talk about facts! Talk about easy. to understand. I know it comes in NIV and this one seems to be like a cross between NKJV and HCSB. Great study notes, pictures, articles, end of chapter questions, chapter introduction, margin notes. Love it. It’s my go to Bible.
