The Goths where not the first ones to sack Rome it was the Celtic Gulls who did 600 years before and not all of the celts in Britain became Roman!

European try to justify why the Roman’s called them barbaric. The Roman never called the Egyptians, Parthia, Carthage, Persians, China. I mean were they wrong Europeans savage 4 continents. Africa, North America, South America, Australia, made two world wars 135M combined casualties..

Nice video for sure.

I will add that any competent bowyer will disagree with the results from the chronograph. A properly tuned Holmegaard longbow and a "Hun" recurve will both launch arrows equivalently. Moreover, the recurves had to be babied (thanks to horse-hide glues, sinew, and horn). What gave them such potential was the ability to use from horseback COMBINED with proficiency of the mounted arches who effectively grew up using them from an early age.

I strongly recommend checking out TTBB, The Traditional Bowyer's Bible, volumes 1-4, but ESPECIALLY volume 4.

The hyperbolic and nonsensical narration makes me put this about on the level of ancient aliens and that is not good. Like right of the start, “the worlds indigenous tribes” wtf does that even mean, some tribes came from Mar? That kind of meaningless verbiage just to pad out the narration is lazy, cookie cutter shitte, just like most things the history channel has pumped out in the last decade.

Something missed about the huns is that they trained to be ambidextrous in many cases. They could change hands with their bows. They also shelved on the off side of the bow allowing them to load and shoot 2-4x faster than Europeans. Hun archers were by far the best of their time. I have learned some of their techniques as a modern archer. I can shoot a modern compound bow ambidextrously but I have to have two different bows because compound technology doesn't allow for off side shooting. I make self and composite bows for myself. When I make a bow I always make them ambidextrous so I can use them either left or right handed. I was born right handed, but forced to learn to be ambidextrous due to a broken right hand while in school. I taught myself to be ambidextrous in everything because it is convenient for me. Later I learned I am better at marksmanship left handed because I am left eye dominant. Make no m8stake I am formidable right handed, but left handed I am down right dominant in competition at marksmanship related tasks. I even pitch faster and m9re accurately left handed while my r8ght arm is far stronger. Crazy how the human body works...

One point that I have to disagree with is the use of stirrups as being necessary. Multiple plains Indians were equally as accurate while riding without saddles. Comanche, Kiowa ,Blackfoot and Souix were some of the best examples of archers from horseback in the Americas.
