For switches one of my most commonly used commands is show vlan brief. Another useful command I use as a Network Engineer is show version and show inventory. Very helpful when trying to open a Cisco TAC case. Even though Cisco doesn't like it, show run | section <config section> is very useful when troubleshooting specific areas like SNMP configurations. One last thing... Never run a debug ip packet on a live network, you will have a bad day.
