So... why would you play a 'pedal' like the wah pedal with your hand? roflmao. Would you play an expression pedal connected to your synth with your hand?

A new synth player that wants to try out different effects pedals could buy a Behringer Multi FX for $50 or less and get all the classic modulation effects plus pitch shifting. It won't be stereo but you could always buy a second one for the second channel. Then you could do crazy stuff like run two different effects on the two channels. Holy crap, now I need to go order two of those. :P

Zoom MS-70CDR is also good.

Regarding pre delay: Do use it with some drums or sharp attack sounds like you described but also slap some compression on after. You’re welcome.

I love the MS50G for Mono Synths and the MS70CDR for Stereo.

Did you say your name was Justin motherfucking Delay? And We're just supposed to accept that and move on? No. You need a lower-third clearly showing a Justin "Delay" working for "Reverb".

The issue with all of these is they are either on or off. What if the pedal could slowly introduce an echo effect, like an expression rocker pedal?

It trips me out that a Justin Delay is adjustin’ delay.

Hi PLEASE HELP I have a novation ultranova and a fx pedal and iam a beginner. Where do you connect the pedal, is it straight into the synthesizer if so where, or do I need something else for them both to work.

Listen up kids, take it from a guitar player that also plays keys, don’t use distortion for stupid arpeggiated nonsense like this guy. Use your distortion pedals ( lightly ) for lead solos mostly. A little drums. Most of all…. Don’t use early this much gain.

Manque totale de production sur cette vidéo. Les noms des machines en texte ? Le nom du paramètre manipulé par la main qui cache tout ? Ça devient un peu abstrait sans ces infos.

For whatever reason I find this hilarious, but the best dirt pedal I found for the Minilogue is a klon-style overdrive (RYRA Klone). I don't like that style of drive on guitar but for whatever without synth it amazing

The Wah pedal is far easier to control with the foot.

FYI, G1Xon, has a pedal you can use as a pitch wheel, among other things.
The G1on model doesn't have a pedal connected, but you can still use the knob for pitch bending, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the pedal.

On the cheap, get a Zoom G1Xon.

I have had a tonne of fun with an Earthquaker Transmisser processing the sounds from a Korg Volca FM. Also string sounds from pretty much any keyboard or synth processed through an Electro Harmonix Mel 9 and then through an Earthquaker Transmisser next in the sequence sounds very fun too!

Reverb can sound like garbage even when it is expensive. It is a hard algorithm to master so there is not one that did it. You have to find the one for your particular situation. Which can be a very cheap one from not these boxes.

The best pedal ever for synths is without doubt is The Gong Bomb by Simple Flip.

I think all your distortion pedals are fuzz pedals, modern distortion pedals don't create square waves. At least that's what I thought.

Speaking of predelay, with my behringer XR16 (who was not intended as an effect kit went I bought it) I like to send signal to delay and send this delay to reverb. Lot of fun experimenting with long delay and big verb.

Time to plug my DS-1 into my Yamaha keyboard and record sounds from Hell.

Good vid, but I think you didn’t explain the correct way to hook this stuff up. Gain staging doesn’t take into account other changes to the signal, namely impedance and balancing. You should have talked about the importance of a good DI box or line level shifter in the beginning.
