In February 1942, Dirty Gerty was the most requested celebrity to appear on the USO tour post Pearl Harbor attacks. This being Gerty's first ever USO Tour, she brought along her backup singers and fellow former prostitutes Basil Drillton and Rosemary Tightwalls with her on this tour. Dirty Gerty co-wrote "Glory Hoes" with British song writer Nigel Petherfanny. Who was a recent hire by Milford Jewishberg Sr. as part of the lead song writing division. Gerty and Nigel had an affair behind Milford Sr. back while also sleeping with Bob Hope on the USO tour. Gerty sure got around. This song was tremendously popular among the troops through out all of her USO tours through 1945. On her final USO tour she was sent out to Guam to perform. Along the way, Gerty's plane was being shot at and had to make an emergency ocean landing. Tojos were surrounding the plane but Gerty managed to kill 12 of them only to realize they wanted to kidnap her so she can perform for them because unbeknownst to her the Japanese were huge Dirty Gerty fans. They died holding posters and pens for her to autograph. It was Gerty's personal Hiroshima. A sad day for her, to cheer herself up she had sex with General Douglas MacArthur later on that tour, so there was some relief of guilt for her. Kinda. I Think? I have no Idea it was before my time. One thing always remain true, everyone loves Dirty Gerty. Whenever you see anyone in the armed forces, let them know how much you support them by singing to them Glory Hoes. Gerty would shed a tear.
