I feel like with that budget they could’ve removed the steps leading to the front door, reframe that entrance to have it lower to then remove the hazardous raised floor inside the house. They just would have needed to create one additional step for the staircase.
They had 150K to play with and it’s not more functional. Horrible layout in the dining area, the tv was fine where it was, that space already had so many windows.
Those dogs!! Love them
ОтветитьNice charm! ❤
ОтветитьI thought a farmhouse sink is where the sink sort of "overflows" into the cabinet fronts? So they got none of the things they asked for?
ОтветитьWhy is there a 6 week deadline? The couple ain’t going anywhere….😅😅😅😅😅
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьWhere is tv?
ОтветитьWhat an awkward layout.....but she did a good job.
ОтветитьI wish that you had showed how they responded to the extra room
ОтветитьWhere is the TV?
ОтветитьWhy did you remove the TV in the living room?😊
ОтветитьI'll try to be even-handed here: The entire redesign was based on the idea that the existing structural column could be blended into the peninsula. So the kitchen was moved forward; so far so good. BUT, if you want to open up a space, you don't add another feature (the peninsula) that closes it up, and also shorten the entire space with a pantry wall and a door.
ОтветитьHusband says look you got your farmhouse sink….. except that isn’t a farmhouse sink 😅
ОтветитьHaving trouble veiwin
ОтветитьJasmine should raise up the floor(to avoid their family injured again),it is the biggest design flaw,I am sure there is enough budget—150k can build a new construction!
ОтветитьDunno why the pillar was such a big deal - it's not like it's huge. BUT - why why why always 'let's put the tv over the fireplace!!' I, personally, hate craning my head up to look at something up on the wall like that, and honestly, it's just boring. I like my TV down on a cabinet. I get the feeling the guy just took down that mirror and mounted his tv up there.
Dining area way too crowded, kind of a useless little nook there that might have been better served with book/shelves or some kind of storage...... Cute, but definitely not perfect.
So many great things, but WHY would you EVER cut in the counter where those bar stools go???????? They are useless for eating, or writing, or anything but chatting! That’s worse than a design flaw, it’s like “how can I make this awesome thing NOT work!!! Should’ve gone opposite and had the counter come out even with the other side of the wall. The first time they have kids attempting to eat there, they’re going to be pricing new counters!
The dining area is also WAY too small!! Almost better to remove the fireplace! That would give you a wall for the tv and enough room to actually have a table.
Curse the 60’s and 70’s love affair with the steps EVERYWHERE!!! Clearly no one with mobility issues designed a house for 30 years!!!! We live with that too and dread the impacts as we age! It’s bad enough no one can afford a single story house, then they build extra steps all over. She did fine with it because it’s probably tied into the foundation of the whole house, but shame on the architects and builders who followed fashion over function — for decades!
This renovation looks ridiculous. Beautiful front lounge - great kitchen and then the world tiniest, squashed meals area. It’s so out of proportion. Sorry - I don’t like it!
ОтветитьIf they had moved the post, they would have a nice dining table. Should have also gotten ride of the step, even if they had to redo the doorway. Buy a longer door. I wish we could hear the homeowners' honest thoughts.
ОтветитьThey live in an awesome community!
ОтветитьOf all Jasmine Ruth’s designs, this is by far the worst.
ОтветитьI going stop watching HTV if they don’t stop painting everything white! I want color not beige!
ОтветитьI thought the tv was going above the fireplace.
ОтветитьI like everything EXCEPT the small dining table so close to the bar stools. That makes that area far too crowded for me., Personally, I'd move that table out slightly into the living room area or not use it and remove it all together.
ОтветитьIs it worth to spend 150,000$ to refurnish rather doing any structural changes??? I usually love all the remodeling done by Jasmine. But this one definitely not.
ОтветитьNot good..
ОтветитьSCAM ! This is a clear SCAM Where did she invest 150k $ . What did you give them as a plus ? You didn't solve any of the hazards and issues . also everything she used was very cheap and standar quality if it s not lower one . I felt sorry for them they were not hapoy at all even they were trying to ct in front of the cameras but sade faces were there . I was enjoying watching jasmine but since few episodes i started feeing vomiting when i see her maners and the way she inspect the house and how she try to blame and just make anything looks like a disaster.
ОтветитьGiven no plumbing or electrical had to be moved, I am stunned that this is all they got for $US150,000. Not your best work lovely.
ОтветитьI did try to like this, but I just think the priorities were backwards.
ОтветитьAre people really the stupid and doing this things to their houses? Or is this just staged? I mean I know it's probably staged for the show but it just seems like people can't be this stupid.
ОтветитьLike God of structural integrity! Yeah It must be so reassuring to have her on the site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьJust waiting for the the shaker style cabinets to be considered outdated.
ОтветитьStep down ug and where is the TV??
ОтветитьΗ τηλεόραση π πήγε;τ τζάκι θ κοιταν
ОтветитьThe raise floor should have been addresed. It is still a trip hassard. Raised only at the entry ( if it was an issue getting in the front door) instead of all the way along the back of the living room. You could have even used a pony wall just at the entrace to indicate a change. The stools are too big for the space, there would be not comfort in 3 people sitting there. Why wasn't the TV put over the fireplace like it was mentioned? Really not Jasmine's best work on this one.
ОтветитьWhere's the TV though?
ОтветитьNope...
ОтветитьTo make the room in one level was too expensive... and to take out the column too... these are superficial changes
Ответитьstep is still there, no tv, no sitting space for guests around island, where the hell did 150k go?
Ответитьit looks nice and very well thought over but where did the 150 thousand dollar go into ? sorry for asking but if I want that wall in the middle of the room to go and an even floor 150 thousand dollar should be enough...don t you think... I love the outside of the house from the begin ...so nice...
ОтветитьThe first issue was the step. They didn't ask for it to be more obvious. With a $150K budget, they could have make the room all one level. Design fail in that room.
ОтветитьMy wife has broken her foot in a similar step. She should’ve tackled that and the pillar
ОтветитьThe seats at the peninsula are going to be a nightmare of unpractical to seat 3 at a time there!! they're so close together, should have chosen different bar stools, and . . . . .where's the TV??? they're living room is they're family room.
ОтветитьNot sure about this one, the kitchen seems like it will be more functional but I just can't get behind the rest of it. The dining space is way too crowded. 🤔
ОтветитьWhere's the TV?
ОтветитьThat is NOT a farmhouse sink
ОтветитьThe load bearing pillar still blocks the kitchen.
ОтветитьHis face is screaming out "Where's my 📺" 😂
ОтветитьThe step down is still there so people will still misstep and fall. Where is his big tv?
Ответить
