Love moogs enthusiasm for tuning na motors... being from the uk ( london) I recently had to get rid of my heavily modded mondeo tdci whiche was making 240bhp and 400nm...
Just bought a 2009 mazda3 bk and put a race manifold and custom ss straight pipe on and it instantly made me fall in love with na s again... its only making about 170bhp over the 150 stock, buy its so much more fun and engaging to drive... it maxe peak torque at 4000 and peaks powere a 6200rpm, and now im thinking about other modes, but nothing sounds and feels better than the fire breathing na motor! It crackles and pops with no remap, thos car wants more power. Thinking cams and intake manifold.....

My problem with turbo cars is more than likely you'll need a new car or at least newer because if you have a car that's 20 years old or older you're most likely going to run into some type of problem because you know piston bearings and piston rings and transmission

Do the unlock overide sequence on it if u aint already ! Did it on my x,s 86 so it engades peak perforce and properly disables traction control ! So it dont stilll activate as i found it does even when disabled is activated through buttons , yeah still comes on if u push it , but doing tje sequench overide made her car a different animal all together !
U do have to redo it every time u turn car off but as resets once u turn car off ! U can google the sequence to deactivate it

does anyone knows what is the main things tuners change for headers/exhaust upgrades? I would say clear the A/F mixture and maybe couple degrees of timing?

But not all NA engines are ready for turbo.. You'd right away up to double (or even more) the compression in your engine.. Now that's definitely gonna increase wear and tear in your engine, which isn't a big concern knowing that on many engines you'd bend a connecting rod or punch a hole in your piston/block..
Basically you're gonna have to change 90% of your engine to cope with the increased pressure, and still have the chance of ruining your block..
Just buy a car with a turbo and save yourself the headache..

It just ain't right hearing a car's power referred to as kilowatts.
