Hi Neiral DSP. Hey I'm wondering if you can help me out. I got me a kind of generic version of a focusrite audio interface (it had a 4.7 out of 5 rating on Amazon) and tonight I was trying to get my guitar to play through the Neural DSP Petrucci plugins, or at least those plugins in Reaper DAW. I downloaded the trial version of both and the Petrucci plugins show up in Reaper. Anyway, I have guitar audio into and out of the interface; I can hear it through the headphones. Then I set the main recording device in Windows to the audio interface CODEC. Now I have guitar audio through the PC onto the PC speakers. But I cannot get any guitar audio through the Neural plugins by themselves, or the plugins through Reaper, or even Reaper by itself. In Neural DSP, I have the audio device type as ASIO, the audio device as Creative SBZ Series ASIO (that's the only option it gives me), I have the audio output channels set to Front L/R (1) and Front L/R (2), and I have the input channels set to Line In L/R (1) and Line In L/R (2). Sample rate is 44,100 and buffer size is 448 samples.
I can hear the guitar audio in the PC speakers but the plugin sees nothing. What am I doing wrong? I have the same issue in Reaper DAW.

Best plug in I’ve ever purchased.

I finally bought this plugin. It still is not my usual sound, as I am more a hot-rod-Plexi guy, which means, wah, amp, guitar and fingers, but I must admit, this package is excellent.

The midi controllable wah is a rare gem, as much as the phaser/vibe, the chorus and also the delay with the tube addition, even more the doubler!!!

I usually get more than enough gain from the rhythm channel at low gain settings or even the clean channel, but also the lead channel is excellently adjustable, if you need these gain reserves.

In the cabinet section I miss a SM57 and R121, but the cabinets nevertheless sound really good with the other microphones and also the option, to mix external IR's with the built-in ones works well as much as the option of only using external cabinets.

An excellent all-round package, with more or less everything, you ever will need, so a recommendation to everybody, who looks for good sounding clean to extreme high.gain sounds plus an almost perfect selection of equally good sounding effects in a single plugin.

Adding the option, to save different eq-settings additionally would be nice in a future upgrade or also adding some SM57/R121 microphones, but apart from this this is one of the few, almost perfect amp plugins.

Sonically the SLO-100 is much more my amp sound, but it unfortunately does not offer features as the wah, phaser or the doubler. Could deserve and upgrade with these additions, I think.

This is a game changer. I mean who has heard distortion like thWait brah wha? It doesn’t sound that great?

My young son has an Apollo Solo Interface he also has the John Petrucci Neural DSP. I know nothing about guitars he says the Apollo does not appear in the audio settings of the Neural DSP. He wants to play thru the Apolo interface to his PC and use the Neural DSP effects.... can anyone help please.

I just bought this with very tempered expectations and the DEFAULT setting is the best recorded guitar sound I’ve ever had. You guys really knocked it out of the park. My amps are sad, but I’m unbelievably impressed. Thanks so much for making this! 🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥

This archetype is fucking insane

Just bought this. The best Amp Sim out there in my opinion. My goto had always been Scuffham's S-Gear 2, but Neural DSP Petrucci has my number 1 slot now. It seems to me that all the Amp sims with scores of amps, cabs, effects etc have their place but dedicated sims that get 3 or 4 amps with effects spot on are just better. The amps in Petrucci cover all the bases superbly . As with ALL sims you have to tweak it to fit your own setup but it doesn't take long to get great tones. Personally I don't need an amp sim that tries to emulate say an AC30 or Plexi or Twin Reverb etc etc. What I go for is what sounds good to my ears; will it do what I want it too. This one most definitely does 🤘🤘🤘!
