This is my review on the game, Pandemic. This review is taken from an educational perspective on what it can teach and how well does it teach.

In the above, I forgot to mention HOW to best implement teaching skill diversity and such.

In short, we found it best through a pre-/post- reflection. You have them play the game without any indication for motivation of why they are playing (other than it is fun and you get to play games as homework).

Then you have a reflective exercise to gauge, what did they learn from the game. What did they see as valuable? What skills promoted success and which hindered. You'll find they will identify skill synergy and such.

Then you follow this up with a second game, but informing them to apply what was discussed formally, like equal contribution. This format has been the most effective.
