Auto wah is for non creative people : the same pattern all over, straight and VERY quikly boring.

If the wah pedal is too hard for ya then you can't handle the wah, and thus don't deserve it

I mostly use my wah as a filter, I don't rock the pedal back and forth much. I use it like a crazy powerful tone control that I control with my foot. Really makes certain types of lead lines pop. Auto-wah makes me feel trapped in a world that stinks of patchouli.

Regular Wah sounds way better though. The automatic Wah is way too consistent, adds no feeling to guitar playing
