My Brutally HONEST Review for RoboCop: Rogue City! (PS5/Xbox Series X)

It just looks boring

Well I am still at it, very interesting and good, like the dude said, it's ridiculously good 👍👍👍, most like the first movie, but the whole thing is helping Robocop Alex Murphy doing his job, to the T👍👍👍👍.

I find it funny that all the people praising Robocop utterly trashed Terminator Resistance. Most people comment the graphics look like xbox 360 or ps3. There is a damn good reason for that the budget. TEYON spent 80% of there budget on the rights to use the Terminator trademark that left 20% of there budget on making thee actual game. Im not getting Robocop im getting Trepang 2 it's basically F.E.A.R.

For me playing on PS5 I think the game is a complete let down. The actual game play and mechanics when you get into the fpv shooting is pretty decent but it’s the story cutscenes and dialogue which really make this game feel cheap for me.

Coming from a film background it almost feels like a rough cut, the voice acting is so disconnected from one another and the pacing of the edits and the way they interact just doesn’t feel natural at all and it could be a lot tighter, not to mention every time you get a cut on the PS5 version you get a glitch and texture pop in.

The camera angles and the how still the camera is all the time just doesn’t lend itself to good world building, they have some spaces they have modelled in the game yet on the cut scenes we get closeups of characters slammed against boring textures with either loads of head room or with heads cut off which happens loads on Robocop.

You can tell the developers love the film and there are some nice touches in there which are true to the film, but the cut scene Cinematics just make the game feel cheap and they could of done much better.

All that time they had and it was worse then dead island 2.... Tbh I'm getting sick of spending my money on crap... So for now I'm not buying games from these devolopers till they fix there shit!!!!

I'm the biggest Robocop fan ever and I just beat Rogue City, with that being said...this game is honestly mediocre. I LOVE how many references they take from the movies and the combat mechanics really do make you feel like Robocop. However, everything else from the outdated animations, bad voice acting, stiff cutscenes, weak writing, generic sidequests, and lack of meaningful dialog options is subpar. I'd give it a 6, but the fact that they nailed the source material so well bumps my score up to 7/10.

I just platinumed it. It made me go watch Robocop again afterwards. It was a fun ride.

This is one of the best games in the last 20 years. 10 out of 10 four stars 100% rotten tomatoes, especially if you're a fan of the RoboCop movies

I play this game on my 4090 RTX and the graphics are horrible

Why are the graphics so bad though? It looks so washed out on my new series x and LG C3. Ahh, no HDR support. 😢 Unbelievable for not one reviewer to mention that.

I think the main selling point for me is the fact that Peter Weller is still doing the voice of Robocop in this game that's automatic buy for me!

This is the RoboCop game that we have been waiting for! If you are a fan, this game is definitely for you! I have been playing this game for hours and only scratched the surface. I find something new and interesting on every level! This is not COD, it's a very nice put together game and you are RoboCop! I love this game!

Just picked this up for my Xbox Series X. Used a gift card!!! Just started it and so far its been good!!! I like how u can pick up and throw stuff and basically destroy everything!!!! It's destructive fun and the head shots are satisfyingly splatterific😂😂😂😂😂😂

Anyone else getting a weird glitch between cutscenes? Whenever it changes cameras I see a strange artifact for a second or so.

Imagine complaining about a feature of a game that actually improves the character, gives a sense of progression, and fits neatly into the lore and gives an explanation to why you need to go back to the police station in order to move character development along.

Stupid complaint about the talent tree, saying it slows the game down and then go on to say how much you like the Auto-9 upgrade system which actually slows the game even more but its still a great feature.

If you want to just go level to level killing things go play COD.

They really need to sort out the texture loading problems

The game is definitely enjoyable. If you’re an original Robocop fan and even old enough to remember them which means around 40 you’ll love it. But I will say this. Its graphics look last gen. The character models look a little basic and the car models look mediocre at best. But the game is very fun and worth playing by anyone. It does have a glitch here and there and will benefit from a patch but on Xbox it’s playable without many issues. No reason to wait. I don’t know how PS5 is. I heard otherwise about that version.

Loving this. Has that Robocop "feel." However, on the PS5 I have a glitch preventing me from moving the story on. On the 3rd mission, "The Search for Soot" (at the arcade), a quest marker leads me there, but after I did a few side quests in the area 1st, I go to the quest marker at the Arcade and there's no "enter" indicator on the doorknob. So, I can't enter the arcade. I tried loading from an earlier save but again I cannot enter the arcade. I guess I'm putting aside till fixed, 'cause I was loving it till then.

It's a week after the release date and it's not available for download on the Xbox for me. Is this an isolated issue?

I feel bad for the people who spend $60 on PS5 and series who can't get their money back Wait for a sale on steam so you can beat it in a couple of hours and get your money back

Gameplay is a blast but the cut scene graphics outside of Robocop is pretty mid with a lot of clipping

If this game has new game plus and replayability then it may prise me off Lies of P New Game plus playthrough

In the demo i thought some of the textures on walls and concrete pillars looked a bit blurry and poor , can anyone tell me if the final version has improved graphics ?

If you ask me TEYON has their finger on the pulse for how to handle movie to game IPs. Hopefully they keep releasing more content. I’d LOVE to see them do a Judge Dredd game.
