Western Europe-Western China highway fully opens to traffic

How many hours does it take to clear the border post between Kazakhstan and China by car? I take it there is now no longer any need to get an extra set of Chinese number plates?

I see the point in building the road. Heck, I can even benefit from it myself, as I’ve been wanting to go to Central Asia on my motorbike for a long time.
What I don’t see, however, is the good idea in shipping millions of tons of goods by truck, rather than by railway.

Road transport Is less effective, more dangerous, more expensive and it has a much worse effect on our energy consumption and the climate....
Send it by high speed freight trains, please!!

I think they just need to build fast bullet trains along this high way so we can all go to China in 1 day for weekend :D

Well done China and Europe. What you are both saying is, that it is time to work together on the entire continent and isolate America, which I highly approve of.


Europe, including Russia + China do not need America, so joining together to work together on projects with or without America is great for global security, whether America likes it or not.


America is the one pulling in the wrong direction here. About time countries thought about how they can isolate America.

China have forbidden for foreign cars and trucks they only can come to border area, don't go inside country. Another thing China trucks not support EROstandart of ecology that mean they not allowed to drive western Europe. The question is what the reason they invested for bild this highway? I'm living in Kazakhstan near China border.

In my country the motorbike lane started renovations 3 yrs ago and there seems to be no end in sight. Where it's done, just to clear debris over 50 feet takes 3 months.

10 years. Almost 850km per year, more than 2.3 kilometers per day. Wtf, man? The road at my uni in Germany has been under construction since I began my study. Now, I have already graduated, still not completed yet. LOL
