Well, the Rival is now back, baby! He showed up in a flashback scene in the Flash volume 1 issue 750 last year (2020, that is). With him being back in continuity, who knows where the character will go next?
I really like this guy. I rarely ever see anyone talk about him. They just mention Shade, or Thinker (probably my favorite Flash villain ever, yes, I know I should be ashamed of myself), or the Fiddler, or Rag Doll, or some other Jay Garrick villain. The Crimson Comet’s arch nemesis deserves some love too.
As a side note, I forgot he was even in season three of the Flash. I forgot most of the stuff in that season, now that I think about it. But his design was less cool and I remember the portrayal being pretty bland and forgettable (which is a great way to sum up most of the villains on that show).

I just realized sum in the cw flash tv show jay garrick's flash has the enemy zoom aka hunter zolomon and in the flashpoint episode kid flash has the enemy rival but in the comics jay garrick's enemy is rival and wally west's enemy is zoom aka hunter zolomon woahhhhh

I thought the art style looked familiar so I looked it up and that's Carmine Freakin' Infantino! In 1949! When you consider what a huge part of the Flash he was in the 60s, 70s and 80s, that's incredible!
