Be sure to pressure wash your van undercarriage to remove all the salt water. My brakes rusted and did not wear evenly.
Salmon Glacier is an awesome view & place to stay. Rough road!
Have just discovered you guys, Wow! Thoroughly enjoyed watching this trip. Have signed up to get your videos. So interesting thank you so much for sharing. I'm in New Zealand, by the way. 😊😊
ОтветитьNice drone footage.

ОтветитьThe scenery there is breathtaking! That camping spot was epic! But I was taken by surprise with the tide surge! Now that is something that would shake you up. I can imagine how y'all felt! Good thing you got that gentle reminder of how unexpected nature can be. Looking forward to every bit of this trip. Enjoy the journey and stay safe y'all!
ОтветитьWe really enjoy your adventures especially this Alaska trip. Thank you again!!!!!
ОтветитьWatch out for night time guests in the form of porcupines. They like promaster wiring. yum yum
ОтветитьWould you call Alaska the last frontier?
ОтветитьWho would have thought a river would have a high tide. I would have never known.
ОтветитьSo exciting! I hope you all are enjoying your time near the arctic region. 👍
ОтветитьHow long ago was this filmed ? You should mention the moment this video was fil,m ! We are here in end of June !
ОтветитьWhat an adventure! Thank-you!
Ответитьbeautiful and exciting fun
ОтветитьWow! That tidal surge was SCARY! I had no idea it could happen. As you said, a learning experience. I'm so glad it worked out for you. Lovely video, as always!
ОтветитьGreat drone video! What is the range of flight it can go? What kind of drone do you have? I have a Mavic Minnie.
ОтветитьThanks guys - Lots of useful info here. We are coming up in a few weeks and also traveling up the Cassiar and staying in Hyder. I did read the warnings about camping near the shores but thank you for reminding us - probably would have forgotten by then. Great job on this and we will be following your progress. Safe travels!
ОтветитьBrown bears are not the same as grizzlies…..
ОтветитьAh yes the middle of the night, um, adjustment. Another epic video. Thank you.
ОтветитьWe were there in late August. Best Glacier views of are whole summer in Alaska and Canada. The bear named runner was at fish creek and was amazing.
ОтветитьGood to see this video as we are planning to make the trip as well. Is there boondocking other than where you were? Hopefully we will see some bears next year. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьYou guy have no fear.....Really beautiful area just too early. Happy Trails 🐕 🐻🐻
ОтветитьThat was pretty scary guys. Glad you were ok. I think I’d have had a bit of a panic attack.
Looking forward to next week
You two are awesome. I would never attempt a trip like this unless with a group. I am assuming you are the team leader. You are cautious but take some risk, at least risk i would be comfortable with. Am enjoying your travels to Alaska and thanks for bringing us along. BTW, what speed were you going on those potholed roads? This is wonderful.
Ответить: ) Just WOW! ! Thanks SO MUCH for shring : ) LL the BET and safe travels ! ! Cheers : )
Ответитьluv your videos. gonna be a long drive to hawaii...
ОтветитьThanks again for more of your great drone work Dave. Awesome is an overused word these days, but that glacier overhead really was awesome! Really glad the tidal experience turned out OK. Lessons learned.
ОтветитьWe just discovered your channel on you tube and are hooked! Can’t wait for the next episode! Roodle is a sweetie!!
ОтветитьAlrighty then! You guys certainly are not starting out conservatively in Alaska. "Looks OK from here." Famous last words. I'm glad you decided to walk it.
ОтветитьBeautiful! Thanks for taking us along!
ОтветитьWe are grinning ear to ear for you guys. You did it! We wouldn't have wanted to leave that spot either. So epic! Good thing you guys noticed the tide coming in. Just Alaska reminding you what a wild ride you're in for. This is just going to get better. Wahooooo guys!!!
ОтветитьOne advantage in June might be that there are no misquote. 😮
ОтветитьI enjoyed the midnight flood victom interviews! 😮😊
ОтветитьAwesome drone footage, Beautiful Beautiful area topped off with OMG scary, lol. P.s. I drove the Icefields Parkway! Wowser experience thanks to your channels AdVanture’s.
ОтветитьAh-mazing scenery!
Glad you didn't get totally flooded out!
At least you did not make that mistake when you were at the Bay of Fundy.
Ответитьvery cool
ОтветитьBeautiful video Carrie and Dave. Pet Roodle for us.
ОтветитьYou guys weren't kidding when you said you all were going to Alaska to make some memories! And didn't waste any time doing so. Lol Glad everyone was able to get back far enough. I had a similar situation camping with about 20 others on the Ohoopee river. It was more like a mad dash to dry ground lol. Earrrly one morning the county upstream got hammered with rain and made the water rise 2 feet over our access road and camp in a matter of a few hours. We were lucky to get all the campers pulled to safety.
ОтветитьWe were there in August & went back 3 times to Fish Creek & still didn't see a bear in the water!! We did see 2 eating berries & 3 little bear cubs in the road! A warning to all to drive really slow! Isn't Alaska amazing & stuning??
ОтветитьI was able to camp at the summit a couple of years ago in my Promaster/Travato. It was in early July…
ОтветитьWe were there in late August and got to watch a young grizzly at Fish Creek. But I’m amazed at how many bears you’ve seen so far on your trip. I’m not sure if we saw that many on our entire Alaska trip. So you’ve been lucky!
ОтветитьLove it 😍
ОтветитьEpic!!!! Thanks for sharing your Alaska journey travel with us!!!!
ОтветитьSurprised at how dark it was at midnight, I thought Alaska had 24 hours of daylight in June.
ОтветитьWhat a grand adventure.
Looks like great people to camp with 👍👍👍👍
