I hope the part 9 villain isn't Dio/related to Dio/alternate version of Dio.

seeing as how Jodio is like Dio if Dio was a good guy, what if the main villain is Johnathan if he were a bad guy? someone who is so noble, so kind, and desires to take down corruption and evil so badly that he or she ends up doing more harm than good.

and since the main villains in the new universe have Fate as their theme with Love Train repelling misfortune and Wonder of U bringing calamity, what if the main villain's stand has the ability to bring "Miracles"? like we've already seen the negative effects of miracles with Milagro Man so having the ability to give miracles could be effecting as a villain's ability.

I think the main villain will be someone motivated by greed for money since the chapters so far have people wanting wealth.

If Araki is repeating Vento Aureo with JoJolands, then it would be cool if the main villain's stand name is from another King Crimson song.

Edit: I had forgotten that Usagi's stand is named by a King Crimson song sddjktlvs

I’d dig a cop/private investigator as the villain. His stand could evolve through the part like how Pucci’s did

First form could be called “Inner Circle” (the band who sang bad boys) since it’s set on an island. Lots of potential this time around for a truly unique villain

My theory is that the main villain for Part 9 is gonna be Jodio himself. Is not a secret that The JoJolands is inspired deeply by Breaking Bad; a show that tells the story about how a decent man turned into this evil crime boss at the end with no morals. Jodio might be something like that.

I also think the part is gonna have some another main antagonist but is not necesarrily gonna be a villain, like a cop or a detective. Not necessarily a villain like Dio or Kira, probably more honorable just like Jonathan was.

I am confident the main villain's stand power will be one that stops flow, i.e. fate.

Valentine redirects positive flow towards himself. Tooru redirects negative flow towards his enemies. So if THE JOJOLANDS is gonna continue the tradition of all the AU main villains having stands that control flow, but the aforementioned two have already been done, then really the only other option is for a stand that stops flow altogether.

But the main evidence for this is the fact that Jodio's stand power is falling rain. And flow, i.e. fate, has always been associated with gravity in JoJo's. Gravity - the force that lets rain fall to the ground. So if this theory is true, the main villain's power to stop fate may be the natural counter to that of the protagonist - literally being able to stop Jodio's rain from falling.

It also fits with the whole mechanism idea. Jodio's whole goal is to work his way up the mechanism, starting from the bottom of society and ending at the top. If the main villain's power is to stop flow - stop the mechanism - then thematically it would be a power to stop people moving up or down the mechanism and force them into the place they started off in.

This is also why I heavily believe the main villain will be some kind of police officer. Jodio and his gang are small time crooks. Their very first enemies in their introductory scene in Chapter 1 were police officers. And what is a police officer's job but to stop people "moving through the mechanism" by lifting themselves into wealth via crime.

I also like what another commenter on this video said: if Jodio is "DIO but good", then the main villain should be "Johnathan but bad" - i.e. someone at the top who benefits from the mechanism as is is staying in place, who believes strongly in justice and fairness - prime qualities for an enforcer of the law.

I originally thought dragona joestar would end up being the villain, and while I still think it’s possible, watching this video and reading the comments make me realize it might actually be two villains: a corrupt cop that hides behind the law, and dragona who becomes an undercover cop through some sort of major change.

Here are my reasons why:

1. The Jojolands’ Golden Wind parallels are very apparent, with the biggest changes being designed to address and do a better iteration of the weakest elements. Jodio is a much stronger giorno, for example. Given how Golden Wind’s biggest dropped idea was that of a main character blatantly betraying the protagonists, this may be addressed with one of the gang’s members turning heel.

2. The fact that the story takes place in a time where undercover law enforcement is at the peak of its use. I know everyone can bring up at least one example over the past decade of its use, and we all know the most corrupt of establishments love to use undercover law to crush anything, no matter how small.

3. Dragona’s weaknesses have been demonstrated as early as chapters 6-10, being greed, and (potentially, given the time of this comment’s writing) their desire to be the leader. Which again, is very common amongst youths of this generation, especially those who would be susceptible to subversion by a corrupt entity looking to snuff out a flow that benefits average unconnected people.

Im hearing alot about the main villain possibly being a judge.

Since the main villains of this new universe have abilities pertaining to fate, this could possibly be right. The Judge's power may allow him to decide someone's fate, similar to how a judge would.

In my opinion main villain will be JODIO himself...
We actually got some hints.
-He was diagnosed with psychopathy....
-Same with conversation with Rohan. When he said that he shouldn't trust his gang members. They are all criminals, its normal to backstab in this business. Hower, this actually could hint that its JODIO that is the worst of them all and he will betray them, when he will see opportunity for profit...

- Also Jodio first words in manga "It's my story of becoming filthy rich"

----------------------------------------------------
Same with fact that Araki clearly took a lot of inspiration from modern American crime shows like Breakind Bad, BMF or POWER.

In both cases we have characters with very poor morality. Which highly contrast with anime and JOJO characters in general....
Characters like Jesse (Breaking Bad), Tariq (POWER) or Mitch (BMF) like JODIO didn't come from abusive families that made them lose faith in humanity..... they simply wanted easier profit.
Jesse simply wanted to have money for drugs, Mitch wanted escape poverty and make name for himself.....

--All of this highly contrast with Japan dedication to law. Where drugs are worst evil imaginable. Punishments for drug selling, or even using are very harsh. Even use of drugs can get you like 5 years in prison. In most criminal anime, drugs are rarely mentioned, and if even is, dealer or user is usually presented as the most morally deranged lowlife possible...

Just because story is presented from Jodio perspective and gives him some plot armor, doesn't mean this character is "good". Same with mentioned characters.

Here’s what I personally believe
The antagonists of part 7 and 8 each had aspects to them that paralleled earlier antagonists in the series
Dio was able to use his charisma and vampiric powers to turn people into his pawns. Funny Valentine uses his position as President and D4C to do the same
Kira was a reactive antagonist who constantly outmanoeuvred the protags. Tooru in part 8s stand did the same but he punished the protags for pursuing him instead
Aside from Kars, we are left with Diavolo and Pucci. Both of these antagonists had one thing in common, and that is how they were obsessed with fate being on their side.
Now, I believe the antagonist of part 9 will be obsessed with how mechanisms will be on their side and their stand will reflect it, similar to how Tooru’s stand embodied negative flow.
Pulling from Diavolo, I could imagine him being a corrupt member of high-ranking society, possibly the leader of a NGO or a high ranking member of one. Someone who manipulates both good and evil people to do his bidding whilst doing his best to put up a public front of benevolencey
From Pucci, he could also be the descendant of a member of Funny Valentine’s cabinet, with his family being like the Clintons or the Bushs.

I think it would be nice to see Jodio as the "main villan", we have already a lot of references to Breaking Bad, so it would be interesting to see a path where Jodio gets corrupted. That being said, I also think this won't happen any time soon, since it would break too much of Araki's "Golden Rules of Manga"

I'm questioning myself about the lava rock.

We know that "All object that touch it, will return to the rock no matter the way".
Will it apply for people that touch it ?

If so, we can probably see Rohan a new time (maybe to explain how he changed from his timeline?), and the people who had the lava rock originally

Then maybe it will be about a powerful man
(SPOILER)
In last chapter we saw stand attack due to interest for a company that own multiple areas, that mean a lot a money
So a powerful organisation that's aware of the power of the rock
