This breaks my heart. My family made my wedding day absolutely miserable and I never could look back at the photos. I didn't have a good day at all. I always told myself I didn't get a wedding but I got a marriage. Now after almost two decades, I feel like I had neither. I thought I was the lucky one. Looking back I was never held, supported, loved for who I am, kissed, touched, I was just burning through my years. I don't know what will happen to me, to us, but if you are married and still happy never neglect your partner. It will break them like no other thing can. I will continue to count the hours and days and years. I will eventually stop. All my years will be burnt through.

I’m seeing a man who only does what’s convenient for him—taking the most while giving the least. And I’m seeing a woman who had low self esteem, even before he came along, and chose to give beyond her means with no assertion for reciprocity. To this day he leans on her for emotional support and I’m willing to bet he doesn’t do the same.

If we did an autopsy on this relationship, we’d probably see a lot of red flags from his side that are actually quite obvious.
