Modern comics don't tell jokes they just talk about what is going on
Ответитьgood to see standup hasnt changed in 50 years.
ОтветитьHow good was Russ Abbott
ОтветитьNo obscenities, no f-word, just pure humour with no extras to shock.
ОтветитьPeople laughed more in the 70s
ОтветитьNot funny
ОтветитьCharlie Williams and Bernard Manning on the same show. We had more racial harmony when we could laugh at other.
ОтветитьLoved repeats of this in the 80s.
ОтветитьClass acts 👍😂👍
ОтветитьGood old offensive English comedy.
ОтветитьOne word. "BRILLIANT".
ОтветитьLaughing now.True comedians those were the days.
ОтветитьIt must be canned laughter! Nobody in their right mind would laugh out loud at these pathetic so called jokes!
ОтветитьVery nice to see these, as the dvd set released some years ago had loads of stuff cut out.
ОтветитьCan’t beat the comedians from back in the day timeless 😂👌👌
ОтветитьBrought memories back. When comedians were comedians with humor and laughter and could say anything they like people thought nothing more. I'm afraid those days have gone we're in a politically incorrect society. I will sub and give thumbs matey
Ответитьcant ever understand the way brits talk
ОтветитьThese comedians are all dead now and would not last a day in current times. Some accents were horrible.
ОтветитьI grew up with this, so glad they're not around anymore.
ОтветитьCharlie Williams - they were a bit 't'other ro-ad' 😂😂😂. I haven't heard that expression for years!! 😂
ОтветитьLaugh - I almost did.
ОтветитьThese laughs are in the right place, the past... Laughing at their own "jokes" doesn't make them better
ОтветитьI do enjoy this . But wish you would but all the names in 💚💛💗💜💙❤🇮🇪
ОтветитьYou can see where Bodger Johnson got his style from.
ОтветитьWasn’t life so simple then. No woke
ОтветитьWhen comics told jokes
ОтветитьUsed to watch this as a young kid...about 11. Was funny then...a bit tame now.
ОтветитьAbsolutely awful, really really poor.
ОтветитьBack when comedians were actually funny. Sadly, comedy in the UK has died a very long and painful death.
ОтветитьSuch bad comedians, lol
ОтветитьModern comedy is very different kind of comedy compared to comedy from the 70s and early 80s, these are basically men telling christmas cracker jokes on stage, it's no different to reading a knock knock joke in front of a bunch of people. Modern stand up comes from situational observations. A joke can last 10 to 15 minutes and will always get a call back towards the end of a show. Comedians now a situation relevant to them and make them relevant to the audience. I've not laughed once watching any of these comedians, well with the exception of Mike Reid because like I stated earlier, they're just telling christmas cracker jokes. And before anyone says you're too young to understand, I watch a lot of classic comedies from Dads Army, Two Ronnies, Only Fools, Steptoe & Son etc so I do find humour in a lot of "older comedy" but not these.
ОтветитьThank you so much, God bless you and your loved ones!
ОтветитьThey sure are.
ОтветитьWHY DO THEY ALL HAVE FUNNY ACCENTS AND TALK FUNNY. AHAHAHA AHAHAHA LOL
ОтветитьI just came across this, and I m having good belly-laughs. ..... Awesome stand-ups.... Thank you. Much appreciated..., Cheerio from Down Under 🌺
ОтветитьCharlie Williams is so funny!!
Ответитьclassic, loved watching "The Comedians" back in the day
ОтветитьThank goodness Tony Allen and Alexei Sayle invented alternative Comedy. (Alexei Sayle Ullo John! Gotta New Motor)
ОтветитьI loved The Comedians when it was on every Saturday night in the 1970s. I was just a school boy and I never missed it. I will soon be 61 and the comedians back in those days were head and shoulders above any of today's comedians. I loved them all but my favourite was Ken Goodwin. He had me rolling on the floor with laughter. 😂
ОтветитьFrank Carson: "It's the way I tell 'em!" Classic line!
Ответить😊😢
ОтветитьLove these thank you lad
ОтветитьKen Goodwin. How funny. We all thought it was stupid then. I see nothing to change my mind now. No doubt someone thinks this is funny even now. Subjective.
ОтветитьNo comedians in England like this now... England will have to get used to those fantastic immigrant comedians.
ОтветитьWhen comedy and comedians were actually very funny, unlike todays bland boring zombies.
ОтветитьIm genuinely shocked how bad the majority of these jokes are. Big fan of Bernard Manning too
ОтветитьBrilliant senseofhumour requrired
ОтветитьAbout as funny as a broken arm.
ОтветитьAppalling. Not a funny moment between them. My father loved this sh!te. He always did have poor taste.
