Fun fact:
Rainbow cups are ancient Celtic coins found in Germany and the Czech Republic. They were sometimes found by farmers after heavy rain.
It’s also interesting that a leprechaun’s gold is always depicted in a cauldron, and not say, a sack.

Hmmm... greediness and hooked noses. Maybe a bit of biggotry in irish folklore? (Besides the obvious ableism in changelings. It's ok, Ireland. I still live you. Even though you think I'm a fairy monster... at least I get to be a fairy.)

Leprechauns are obscure in other parts of the world, even their home country, Ireland. However, they are still classic creatures, especially to the United States of America. I am interested in, at least, writing one story of about a Leprechaun for the sake of diversity.

My great grandmother, a lifelong resident of Munster, had a STRONG fear of the Clurichaun. She swore up and down she'd had a terrifying experience as a mid teen whilst going to fetch something from the cellar. I have absolutely no idea if she really did see something or if it was a child's imagination but whatever happened strongly affected her.

When my grandmother was a little girl, in the 1920s, she fell into a coma with Scarlet Fever. There were no antibiotic available back then so her parents cared for her at home the best they could while the rest of the family held vigil. After the third day in a coma the doctor told her parents to call the priest. Her mother sat next her all night watching her get weaker. Then all of the sudden my grandmother opened her eyes and turned to her mother and said "Mama, I'm thirsty". My grandmother's fever had broken and she got back to normal quickly all because of a Leprechaun. You see, my grandmother heard a tapping on her window and when she looked she saw a little Leprechaun waving at her and smiling. That's when she realized she was thirsty and asked her mother for a drink. Until my grandmother's dying day she believed that the Leprechaun saved her life. But he did take something for payment: her golden blond hair. While recovering all of her blond hair fell out and was replaced by jet black hair but with a blond streak on the left side above her eye brow. I inherited that blond streak (but I'm a strawberry blond) and I feel that I've been blessed by that same Leprechaun (I'm the only other person in the family besides my grandmother who has the blond streak). I'm 55 years old now and my grandmother passed away many years ago but when I hear stories about Leprechauns they always warm my heart and remind me of her. ❤ Much love from Oregon USA.

You forgot to tell the ending of master and man.
On a night when Billy is nearly done serving his seven years and a day the little man takes him to a farmer’s house and informs him that they’re holding a wedding in there and he is planning on stealing the bride. So they get in through the keyhole and climb up on the rafters to avoid being spotted and to have a better overview. Now before they went in the little man had informed Billy that it was his 1000th birthday, to that Billy had said “God bless you” but he was quickly told to never say those words again. Back in the present the little man had made the bride sneeze two times already and no one had said “bless you” (because of a spell I guess), and if the bride sneezed a third time without anyone saying “bless you” she would be within the little man’s power. Then the she sneezed that third time and Billy felt sorry for the girl so he roared out “God bless us all” which made the little man so furious he discharged him from his service and gave him a really hard kick in the back. Billy landed on the supper table much to the astonishment of the company. He told them about the little man and they believed him, the priest then married the couple on the spot and Billy was allowed to stay as just another guest at the wedding.

(And now I always make sure to say “bless you” whenever someone sneezes, just in case 😅)

Here in the Philippines we call all leprechauns, gnomes, elf, goblins, brownie, pixies, imps, and trolls as duende or "nuno sa punso". A "nuno sa punso" is an elf that sits on top of an ant hill and believed to be their home. It is a dwarf like element with an evil power that causes mischief to the one who peed or accidentally destroyed the ant hill. It is similar to Rumpelstiltskin. While fairies and sprites are called ada, engkantada, diwata, or nimpa like the goddess of nature Maria Makiling or Maryang Makiling.
