ОтветитьAt 65, I was dx with osteoporosis in 2021, mainly in my hips. I was also dx pre diabetic, and before any assumptions, no I am never been overweight and always have avoided excess sweets and drinks. My problem is more familial and other environmental issues. My problem is that I am eating more meat now with about 30% veggies and very little fruits. I was a banana and mango lover, and I had to cut fruits down. I know they raised my BG because I have tested. I am fine and no longer pre diabetic; however OP is about the same regardless of all the gym, walking D3, k2, I eat nuts and seeds a few every day, and I try to get most of my Ca from the diet; yogurt, a few cheeses, kefir, etc. I have never have had a fracture, and the bone aches I was suffering is almost gone. I will get my veggies another 10% but I cannot consume too much fruit anymore. I eat fatty fishes and sardines with bone and skin. Well at least it has not worsened, but no improvement either. Good information!

The more alcaline food is coming to our stomach, it will produce more acid to process it and it will move down being acidic. alcaline doesn`t even reach our gut or intestines. Pure school biology and proved research, not just ideas and guessing games

ОтветитьAlthough the alkaline diet looks like an overall very healthy way to eat which can help reduce or eliminate inflammation it’s very confusing when talking to nutrition specialists at MD Anderson, and Mayo Clinic which say no amount of alkaline diet will change the PH level in your blood. It can in the kidneys because it produces waste in urine, or even in your saliva. But our PH system is highly regulated by our systems but again no amount of eating alkaline food will change the PH level in blood. Although I do agree eating healthy is always the healthiest overall way to eat and will hopefully give your body the best chance at helping itself. I ate only organic plant based foods, no sugar, or processed foods, and intermittent fasting, and exercised for years, but it still did not keep me from being diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer, with no genetic predisposition to the colon cancer.

ОтветитьA lot of what she says makes sense, but the one thing that I just don’t get is how alkaline foods survive the stomach acid, and so many nutritionist say, most of our problems come from not having enough stomach acid!
ОтветитьPH levels need to be lower in the stomach to process minerals. Get off the antacid. Eat more meat fat; your bile is more alkaline.

ОтветитьCan we have too much alkaline in our diet? If we eat a lot of fruit and veggies and only a small amount of meat as they have many types of diets today. ( ie carnivore ) Is keto or Mediterranean better ?

ОтветитьWe cannot change our body's pH with what we eat and drink! Anything we ingest immediately becomes acid when it enters the stomach acid, and absorption only happens after the stomach! So regardless of our diet, the stomach cannot become alkaline!
Actually, its the lungs and kidneys that are responsible for regulating pH, so breathing exercise/methods can change your pH, but not your diet!
But I would love to hear any information that contradicts what I've said here, cause we're always learning!

ОтветитьInteresting. Question please. If eating a alkaline diet won’t it raise the PH of the stomach causing stomach acids to be to alkaline? Then causing stomach to not digest food?

Ответить10/3/2019, 3 months prior to the pandemic, my colon ruptured. After a normal day of work I woke up to a level of pain that child birth doesn't touch. I lost 3ft of my large intestine. I was blessed to have a reconnect 1/10/2020. To date, gastrointestinal wellness is my daily goal. I was on a high alkaline regimen prior to the rupture and consumed a great deal of almonds. The surgeon advised that they don't know what caused the rupture and that I did nothing wrong. I enjoyed the listening to this information.

ОтветитьI heard you have to supplement out calcium/vitamin d and proteins, can I eat peanut butter and take vitamin d pills to get what I need or are the foods related will give me what I need?
