Ok so here is the thing, everyone is mad @bmw for discontinuing the m140i Straight 6 but let’s be honest how many people it killed was insane(a lot of driver error as well) , why do you think all m40i models are X-Drive…. Now there might be an M140i 2024/25 but most probably 2.0L Hybrid X drive. They never took Inline 6 away still there (reason M240i Inline 6 is there)

2023 M135i revised version is way better than 2019- 2022 M135i

Unfortunately with BMW (and all other German manufacturers) it’s no longer about building sporty fun cars but to make them as cheap as possible, make them as expensive as possible and make a lot more money. Sadly, this is something they copied from the Americans. America builds everything with cheap and poor quality and sell it for a ridiculous price.

M140i for the win! its a dream car of mine! Also one plus for me is that you can drive it with a stick manual too so yeah

i think the old one looks better icl (actually i think the m140/135 line just suits the way the older one looks but the newer one looks more bulky like it could be a m180i lol)

I wonder why we didn't get xdrive 140i in South Africa... Was driving my cousins 140i a few months back it's got a downpipe and a proper exhaust.... I have to say... I cannot live without that car.. I have to buy 1...even if it's the older m135i..i need that straight 6😭😭

I see now more new 135i cars then in the past when the 140i was new.
When i drive from work to home i want to have an allrounder and not a race car, so the new one ist definitivly the better for me.
And i compared the new one with the old in a bmw dealer, the old looks very old fashioned in compare.

Love the older 1 F20 M135i and 140i it looks great and sounds great. The new one doesn’t look all that great to me. The new A35 and 45 look great and I now prefer them to the 1 series which I never thought would happen

As a longtime BMW fan, I must admit that I find the F20 or any hatchback they make quite underwhelming. The driving experience is undeniably fantastic, but when it comes to hatchback designs, they fall short compared to the sleek A class, Golf, A3, etc. The F40 is an improvement, but it’s still far behind.

NO It doesn't Matt. U might aswell get a golf r, so much better for room, looks and driveabilty all year round! arguably 😂

Would be interested to see how the 135 compares to the clubman JCW - same car, but do they perform the exact same.
