When crew live in Dubai they start to crave nature so badly. Then they quit and move to south east asia or costa rica with the deam of a relaxing beach life with no standby or back to back flights. But after six months the reality of living in a third world country weighs on them, like the lack of infrastructure and lack of creature comforts. They went from living in free accomodation in Barsha to a hut in asia and it isnt at all what they expected. When you live in Dubai you feel wealthy even if youre not, but when you live in a third world country you start to feel poor even if you have money. Bali is great for a 2 week holiday once a year, but nothing beats living a comfortable life in Dubai. Every crew I know who resigned from EK wished they could move back to Dubai and live a comfortable life there. All I can say to them is you had a decade in Dubai when you were in your youthful prime, how did you not find and marry a man with "means" so you could be chilling today on a yacht out by the palm with a glass of Dom in your hand and without a worry in the world.

Canguu is much more costly than other parts of Bali. Seminyak is much cheaper in monthly rental , but I guess it depends on your budget and your favourite places to stay . Canggu and Uluwatu are more exclusive . So too is Nusa dua Have you guys been to Thailand ?
