ALX Data Analyst VS ALX Data Science - Which One Should you take?

Hello OG it seems like ALX is not offering the Data Science course anymore or I'm I wrong been checking for the next cohort intake but nothing but the other courses are now open for applicants I really want to do the Data Science course please help.

Data scientist salaries are higher but Data analyst job are more demanding in the market. Data scientist should have a degree in relevant field but Data analyst can just have some certificates to work. Data analysis is less complicated than Data science.

Hi, is it possible to switch from software engineering to data science programme? Just got accepted for software engineering..

I got accepted but my question is it compulsory to go to the tech hub every week. I live quite far from the tech hub and will want to do everything online

I want to ask about the compulsory hub meetings that Data Science students will be having? Is it a daily thing, a weekly thing, or a monthly thing? Do we have to be in Lagos to make this work?

Got fully funded for the data analytics course 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾. I didn't want to take data science because I'm a uni student and it was going to kill me putting all those hours aside for ALX 😅

Looking at the curriculum for both, I found that Data Analysis was basically a part of the Data Science course which actually makes sense. The only upside for the Data Analysis one is that it is shorter.

Mmmmmmh! A data analyst or data scientist can transition to data engineering, but trust the is a whole other skill set one needs to learn.

For context I started of a risk analyst at a development financial institution and I am now a data analyst at a start up, currently up skill-ing my data knowledge with an interest `in data engineering.

Trust me financial analysis is different from typical data analysis, though financial analysis is a type of data analysis.

Mmmh! can a data analyst really become a financial analyst? Specific to the content of the ALX data analyst course? Will the content really enable one become a financial analyst? Does it cover financial statements, Financial Ratios, GAAP/FRS etc.?
