--- BE AWARE -- NO GPS -- It's a shame that they removed the GPS from the GoPro 12 under the guise of energy-saving (it can be turned off easily). My first DISAPPOINTMENT was when with the HERO 8 they INTENTIONALLY BLOCKED (via software) the function to directly play on the TV (available in hero 7) in order to sell the MEDIAMOD ACCESSORY (another $100), jerks!! (I made the mistake of upgrading my GoPro 7 without realizing that, something GoPro never disclosed, and it went unnoticed as no review explained it!!). Still not happy and thinking customers are stupid, now they remove the GPS to cut costs, spouting some garbage explanation about battery life. In a few months, they'll sell the GPS separately as another wrist accessory (similar to what they did with the MEDIAMOD). Brilliant!! We decide whether to buy this camera or not, and I've already made my decision. Thankfully, you can still buy the GoPro 10 and 11. I think this GoPro will be a complete sales fail and rightfully so

Very informative review. Thanks. This is the first of your videos I have viewed, and I have a suggestion. Don't talk so fast! You are hard to understand. Along the same vein, there are some comparison segments with multiple video clips in the same frame with accompanying text, and it's difficult to read and digest what is being shown before the segment ends. Yes, that all might make the video shorter, but playback is not shorter when you have to constantly rewind, and it's more tedious to view.

I don't mind losing GPS for the speed data but I do like to Geotag all my photos/videos (or where the video started) instead of manually pinning them

I still have the hero 5 and I still dont know everything. Sometimes when there are SO MANY FEATURES on a camera it can become OVERWHELMING to a NEW customer, even intimidating. I know I am not the only one who wonders why they need all those features?
Which is why i will stay with my Hero 5 and Hero 360 camera😊

Charging the batteries slower is a good thing. Rapidly charging batteries significantly reduces their lifespan. The slower charge time is probably intentional, because it's better overall, but they cannot talk about it publicly. Most of their customers wouldn't understand or believe them. During fast charging, a battery is pounded by power surges, which would normally burn it up if this peaking power level were constant. Nonetheless, it does do damage like death by a thousand paper cuts.

The only one that will ever have another GoPro product is if they give it to me with an apology and refund for my GoPro 9 this is the sorriest excuse for a camera I ever seen in my life within 15 minutes it's so hot it's almost it's completely unreliable. I can go spend $90 on a cheap Walmart camera and get a far better quality unit it has the most useless instruction book I've ever seen it is all but unintelligible when you try to use it.

Hey guys I want a GoPro 12 for surveillance when driving. I drive usually between 45 minutes up to 4 hours maximum. How long does this GoPro last when recording a standard resolution video before the battery dies (in a 512GB SD card)

i got a hero 12 black but did not see the 5.3k 60... only 30 is there some update or how i can get 60 fps for 5.3k?

As someone riding a bicycle, I have been looking for a good GoPro to stick on my full face helmet and to have any video be so smooth just like how we see the world in the naked eye. So for all the GoPros out there, which do you suggest is the best so far?

LOVED this in-depth review! The decision-swaying note for me was the fact both the internal & bluetooth mics are recorded together with the option to choose in post-production. Def will make me worry less about an external mic bugging out/sounding bad knowing that the internal mic will still be there as a backup!

Only things we need to know... Have they improved the batteries? Does it still need an adapter for a microphone?

DJI failed from the start for me. They lock your camera with a QR code and they force you to install an app that is not accepted by the Google app store. Returned the next day.
