Been trying to steam milk and latte art for 15 years, and the best I can accomplish looks like a 5 year old did it. I have a $2k double boiler machine and early on I moved to a single hole tip. I still can't do it. I believe I learn differently, and no videos or instructions are telling me what I need to know. I'll keep trying for another 15 years, but I wish someone would just explain HOW it's done where it makes sense and can be duplicated. This video didn't help.

This was exactly what I needed to get started on the right path with my new Breville. Thank you for making the process of foam milking much less intimidating! 🙏🏼

Also, when you're steaming milk, you want to hear The Sound Of ripping paper, that means you're doing it right?

I have a basic delonghi machine and ever since I cleaned it the frother hasn’t behaved the same. It’s really loud and doesn’t create the silky foam. If I keep it steaming for too long it starts to make huge bubbles and shoots out the milk everywhere. It used to steam perfect using this technique. What should I do different?

Very well done….now to put into practice what I’ve learned!
Thank you for explaining in detail, what is happening, how to hold the container, and what to look and listen for.

I'm freshly employed in a bakery where they also serve coffee in every possible way. I'm still very unpractised in making coffee or milk foam or whatever, but I want to make really good coffee for the peeps! So thank you so much for this video, I will try my best to master this process.

What if I add protein powder into the non plant based milk to increase the protein content, would it be easier to froth?

Interesting. When I was a barista, I could only foam and make latte art with whole milk, it was the easiest one. And this was something everyone on my team said too, so I’m surprised and confused that you say skim milk is easier to foam

How do you gauge the temperature without putting a thermometer inside?

Anyone, I dislike milk, and non dairy substitutes don’t do it for me. I want half & half in my coffee regardless of style. Can it be foamed at all, or is the fat content too high?

Thank you James for helping me solve my “milk turd” problem. A former chain barista taught be to steam and it left warm milk with a ball of foam on top. Such a difference the first time I got the glossy foam.
