I relapse once or twice a year, but every time I relapse (on alcohol) it reminds me why I cannot function being an alcoholic and I quickly sober up for 6 months. I hope one day I can go an entire year without the accidental whoopsie, but the hangovers alone prevent me from going back.

Out of all these I have seen, this lady is by far my favorite and actually did have legitimate reasons to do what she was doing. My favorite part is she actually was a good mother. I knew that the moment she didnt want her children to see the bottle of fireball whiskey. Not many “parents” wouldve cared if the kids seen the bottle or not bc they are horrible parents and selfish. This lady was NOT that. She really was a good mom, just never received the therapy she needed for her past. Plus, she told them she was going to treatment for herself and not anyone else which says she really did want the help. If YOU arent ready to get sober, then the sobriety will not last. Hope this lady stays sober and continues to be an amazing mother and person. This is my favorite one for sure!

Trauma can come in many forms, there are people who have the attitude of well everyone has problems so just get on with it but sometimes the normal coping mechanisms do not work......one thing that people speaking to anyone experiencing trauma & it may have nothing to do with addiction it could be to do with infidelity etc is is listen, refrain from 'telling' that person what you think they should be doing & how they should be handling the situation..... From my own experience due to infidelity i can honestly say that when someone throws a grenade into your world for the third time because of their own selfish obsession it can seem like an endless black hole of fear & misery & frustration.... Never ever say to someone in that state of mind 'you need to pull yourself together' because what you're really saying is i don't have time to listen to your problems anymore..... Fear is the loneliest place to be & unfortunately once you've experienced trauma it's very difficult to escape the flashbacks & the triggers

alcohol does not kill pain. it does kills your social life, the trust people have or had in you and it is the sign of defeat. it is a weak atempt to admit you were wrong and it only makes you feel worse than before.

I’m just going to point out some stuff. This woman’s life is just full of bad decisions. She makes the wrong decisions in men. She was very pretty back in the day, but any man that would’ve treated her good and not been abusive towards her or teach her how to shoot drugs she probably rejected them She’s the type of woman that likes bad boys, but doesn’t like all the things associated with having a bad boy. Now she’s just just late 30s and broken. No the bad boys will probably have anything to do with her. She needs to clean her life up. And hopefully she’ll serve as an example for all young women out there why you shouldn’t mess with guys like that

I could remember several years ago I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Was actually addicted to cigarettes and alcohol. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment.
Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 11 years totally clean. Shrooms are God- sents.

I also got my V taken from me when I was 14 from a 27 year old, it really messes you up. I’m ok now but I went off the deep end as a kid until I stood up and went “I won’t let this man take anything else from me especially my life” I don’t know how I did that at 18 but I thank god everyday I was able to take my life back and realize I am strong, and my body does not define my future, my body does not need to be destroyed by myself when a man did that to me, I love myself and he never loved me and if I wanted to be like him I would continue to destroy me like he did. I love myself and I deserve life. I deserve happiness, I deserve success, I deserve to forgive my body and my body deserves to forgive me.

Got a weird theory, i think that alcohol should be legal at age 16 like in Scandinavia. In Denmark where i grew up you can buy alcohol at 16% or lower at age 16 and 18 for everything else, from i was probably 15 i would party very often on school weekends and drink 😂 who ever was home alone hosted the party or we would go to a park and drink, it was fun but by age 21 it became redundant and most of my friends stopped going out because we had our days, so it wasn't as interesting anymore. Now in the US you have to be 21 legally, so people start drinking and experiencing this late. Around the age where life becomes serious education wise and people start having more responsibility. Very bad timing! And more people end up messing up in the more important time of development and education, also we where 15-16 year olds we had almost no money, we just had whatever we got from our family and put it together and got a bottle of vodka and a cheap mixer and split it 4-6 people so we couldn't go crazy with it either and become real alcoholics without the funds + living at home. Unlike alot of people at age 21 with probably higher funds, i know it's a crazy sounding theory. But at age 21-22 we didn't go to clubs and drink often, it had become redundant at this point. But the alcohol abuse rates are much lower even tho you can drink at a younger age. Just a lil theory i had 😂 it's hard to end up on the streets or prison doing something stupid while drunk as a juvenile, because most have parents guiding you and have no real responsibility and no real funds to go crazy with drinking. It's like you have this experience at a young age that helps you stay on course as a young adult.... Just my thoughts tho.
