Sawyer, and Goal Zero, are, also, companies that donate a lot of gear/supplies, to those in need.
ОтветитьBottle beer hehe😂
Ответить❤
ОтветитьThere's a big problem with chemicals in the water because of the dupont/chemours factory nearby, causing a lot of issues for a lot of people, so I really don't want to use any of their crap anymore. I know teflon pans is one thing to avoid, but do you have any guide on the stuff to use to waterproof your gear? I am almost thinking to just go back to a wax coat, but that's not very ultralight.
Ответитьif you need that much tools better to not go outdoors
ОтветитьDo you have a solution for convertertube freezing temperatures?
ОтветитьIf you can't see a reason why you might want a bottle opener when you're camping then your camps must be boring as
ОтветитьGoog job. Good items.
ОтветитьYep my VA office gave me a pair of Bombas they are very comfortable 🙏
Ответитьthe firebeaner bail keeps opening and falling off
ОтветитьAs someone who loves coffee, I tell you that there is good quality instant. But it's not the cheap one from the next supermarket.
Ответитьwow good stuff
ОтветитьSorry. I’m not paying twice as much for them to be able to give someone else a free sock. Especially under Biden. Everything cost to damn much !
ОтветитьI think the perfect poop trowel is the Japanese hori hori. it might be heavy for backpacking, but you can use it for so many other things.
ОтветитьThat was fun. Thank you
Ответитьis any of what you say not paid advertising?
ОтветитьFound you again. After the last YT update I lost so many channels I was subcribe too. That and I got a stupid @ and 8500 added to my name. Ugh.
ОтветитьAn excellent under 30$ trowel/ all purpose tool for hiking is finding a traditional Japanese Hori Hori, which is a sort of all purpose gardening/ bushcraft tool.
They are super useful for anything out in the woods, from digging poop holes, to getting that rock out from under your tent, to bushcrafting, to foraging food and medicines <I learned about them from my herbalist friends, and they swear by them for getting roots etc>
They cost around 30$ and are super rugged and reliable, and weigh not much more than an ordinary trowel. I have mine carabiner'd to my water bottle strap for EDC in the woods and I use it for basically everything.
Good stuff! I'm buying a couple of these things right now.
ОтветитьI don’t want to hike or backpack with anyone that I wouldn’t eat out of the same bag with
Mostly because they might be the one giving me CPR
Out of anything I am willing to carry that is heavier is a tactical shovel
Something small and will cut through roots and help digging up rocks
I don’t think anyone wants to admit that when they have to go they don’t want to wait for a 💩 trowel to not dig through the first layer of soil let alone six inches
We had Bombas donated to us prior to our deployment. Great socks!
Ответитьa trowel is the most useless waste of gear ever
ОтветитьThe same company that makes the Convertube, Source, also makes an accessory they call UTA, which is short for universal tap adapter. You can attach that at the drinking end of the tube. Then you can easily fill your bladder from standard PET water bottles (anything with a 28 mm thread, I believe) and taps without even unpacking the bladder. Squeeze filters work too. I use it with a Katadyn BeFree. I also use it to flush my tube for cleaning if a running water tap is available.
Just make sure you have a compatible tube. The tubes of their "tactical" range of products mostly, if not all of them, come with a coupling at the drinking end where you can disconnect the valve and connect the UTA while at least some of their "civilian" ones have fixed valves. But you can also buy a "tactical" tube with a coupling separately. The connection to the bladder is the same, so it will connect to your "civilian" bladder as well.
Granted, it won't fill as fast and maybe less convenient as an unscrewed and submerged bottle, but fast and convenient enough for me. And I much prefer to have my heavy water container in my pack near to my back than having heavy bottles at the sides as I feel with the bladder the pack is much easier to carry for me and no bottles can fall off.
New subscriber , long time gear head
ОтветитьI love these Fozzil bowls! We have used them and they are awesome. They also have a set of 3, cup bowl and plate set. Their x_large bowl, sold seperately, works great as a wash bowl!
ОтветитьVery good suggestions. Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat is he holding in the thumbnail?
ОтветитьI frickin love my fozzils bowls - i'm pretty much always back packing with a group - they are fuctional cutting boards, light weight and nearly failproof dog bowls (in cold temps the snaps stop working reliably), you can use them in your pack to protect water bladders - brilliantly functional
ОтветитьNice presentation!
ОтветитьI thought the thumbnail was a Glock switch 😂
ОтветитьI "discovered" those snap bowls last year and haven't been able to stop using, even in my daily life at home. Outstanding gear.
Thanks for the Nikwax tip. I have a few raincoats that could definitely use this.

ОтветитьGood
Ответитьhow much does a regular hand towl weigh? lol, love your videos man.
Ответить"Why would you have a bottle on a camping trip" - What no beers?
ОтветитьBombas are okay
ОтветитьA lot of chemicals get released from plastic when you pour hot water into them. I wouldn’t want to do that all the time.
ОтветитьDwr is also the word for water in my nations language so that kinda threw me for a second there when it popped on the screen
ОтветитьI like how the towel has the silicon carrying case. You can't be a hoopy frood if you don't know where your towel is.
ОтветитьGreat selection of gears!
ОтветитьJust found your channel. It's great. For coffee on the go, I like Jogo or finalpress. Although the mesh used for finalpress is thin so you'd need a secure place for it.
ОтветитьI can confirm that Bombas gives out free socks at my local food pantry.
ОтветитьBro can you be my dad
ОтветитьYour poop trowel with notches.... is meant to be a tent stake... best in sand environment. Wide blade is meant to resist against soil.
ОтветитьI cleaned windows for the owners of the bombas sock foundation, they’re awesome people with a massive heart, we got free socks as a tip and they gained a customer forever… prior to this I had no clue about bombas it was cool to hear their story and idea behind the socks aswell as how they homed 3 baseball minor league players, the house was massive and big but they were awesome all around
ОтветитьGet your wife a JoGo straw. Much less hassle than a pourover contraption, plus it's smaller, lighter, and easier to clean.
