Great review JD and lovely looking quad. I'm now wanting another quad with folding legs for ease to transport. Also with a camera that can point down so can view a hole in our roof at home. I am wanting an MJX Bugs 4, jjrc x11, Eachine EX3 or SJRC F11 Pro. You don't happen to have any of these for sale do you as would love one when I can afford another? I like these as flight times are good.

This reminds me of the yuneec breeze in looks a little bit..
It definitely flys well doesn’t it, any drone that can handle that wind is a good flier, the video quality was nice a clear wasn’t it, although quite a few times it was juddering quite a lot, even more noticeable when panning, maybe that can be sorted after an update or settings change.. core yeah it’s a hard choice between this and the zino isn’t it.
I do like the transmitter idea of being 5.8 and not relying on a phone, hopefully you can turn the light up on it or the sunshade would make a difference, it will also be interesting to see if yours develops the same issue as Colin’s and the screen gets more dull over time. I look forward to seeing more on this one mate, have a good week..👍

Great review JD! Looks like a great quad for a great price! I have found myself favoring the foldable quads, even though I am new at this. This would be a great buy. Also, move your bag JD!

Tbh that return to home was very good considering the wind and the pad is quite small, so I'd say that was very accurate on the whole.

Looks like a good flyer JD considering you had a very strong wind blowing there at time of flight. I thought the video looked really good too, no juddering, and a good reproduction of colours. Just a shame that display wasn't a bit brighter I guess but easily fixed with addons. Great review JD as always.

Man Fimi is comming on with it faster heavier than the bugs 3 gimbled camera it says 1080p at 60 fps..... max speed 15 mps that's fast.... I like the balance charging yes it takes longer but a lot better for the cells...all in all great aircraft ...I bet she's real light in control tooo....great job my friend.

I'm stunned how well she flies...I figured that rigid frame would give some jello or bending ....I don't see any at all. Amazing ....so does it store the video in the transmitter ????

Looks pretty good for all that wind. Not being able to see the screen is an issue. Curious to see if sunshade helps. Looking forward to seeing your final thoughts on this one. So far I am still sold on the Zino, but intrigued with this one. Waiting for a little more on this one before I really decide, lol. Great video JD

FYI. Be careful. If you do point of interest orbit, the point of interest becomes the RTH point. That's why your second RTH was way off. You are lucky you didn't try point of interest orbit over trees or a building.

PS. I got one with fog problem. Agree it has a poor screen and wish it would turn around on RTH. But it does fly/manouvre quite nice.

I'm going to be a little critical so brace yourself. :D
The circle mode is a POI mode. You place the quad over the POI and then move it to the distance you wish he quad to circle the POI from (or do you set it manually?) and then initiate.....

The quad fixes the GPS coordinates of the POI and holds that information for the circle mode.


And now the fun bit. When I flew the A3 I got the same failure to initiate and for the same reason and when I tried the RTH it returned to the location for the POI.
Now I can't tell if that was the case with your RTH cause the angles on the video are all wrong. But my RTH definitely went to the location of the POI and I only just stopped it from landing on top of a round bale :O Only happened the once coz it initiated all the smart modes from then on and carried out the flights (approximately) as predicted. Could that be the reason for your RTH failure


Other than that, the package only has one major flaw and that is the visibility of the screen
We put together a black foam-board sunshade which we used for for quite few flights until a proper one was found online


And I really love this machine. It's an updated and frankly better design than my original 501S, flies where you tell it to and is just fun to operate. My home technology can't cope with 4K or 2K so it was just about perfect for me.
Sadly, following some extremely recent life altering events I'm not going to get a chance to fly one again

Hi, I've just ordered this quad from ebay (said the item was in Dunstable UK but after paying I found out the seller is in China and most likely a drop shipper 🙄)
Anyway, I'm guessing I'll need to purchase a 2 pin to UK plug adapter to charge it?

It seem that you dont khow how to do my dear .... first the flat part of the antena should be in the direction of the aircraft not aimed on your ugly face .if screwed down this drone was your task well done but ...like we said in my country...dont blame the steering ....Your rid'n$$$!

I have an a3 but i can't activate the orbit mode and the fixed wing mode.. During orbit mode the A3 does not move in circle it just stays in one place, during fixed wing mode the A3 cannot be move forward but he moves slowly on his own.. Pls help

Thanks a million for the vid man. I just ordered one ( 4/7/21) and can't wait to get it up in the air. I'm stoked for that 5.8ghz, I haven't bought a DJI product yet because I don't want to have to use a phone just to fly a quad. Cheers mate.
