Foxwell NT710 review BMW bi-directional all systems scanner

I am using the NT710 on my 2017 Silverado 2500HD LT 6.6L and I would give it a 50%. It did program our key fobs but shortly after you would push the unlock twice (two open all door) and immediately it relocks. Press the unlock and it doesn't unlock but press the lock then unlock and it does. Press the lock and it double locks and honk the horn. It did 50% of our TPMS (front tires but not the back tires AND it will require that you also have another device like the Super EL50448 to point to each tire that is being programmed). But the primary reason that I purchased it was to deal with DEF and NOX issues (that are similar to the microsoft BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH which for too many Chevy owners complain about). The menu to too many pages deep just to get to each function only to discover 50% of the times that you are in the wrong place again. As far as DEF it did allow for a REGEN but some features that needed changed were not able to be changed. Any Chevy owners WORST NIGHTMARE is the "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" or "SPEED LIMITED" or "STABILITRAC" messages. Mine is also suffering from the "Exhaust Fluid System" mixed with the "SPEED LIMITED" which are almost impossible to either reset or overcome (even by Chevy Factory techs too). I am now down to lost communications with NOX2 and intermittently NOX1 out of spec. The truck has thrown over 16 codes on my little reader and 128 with the NT710. Mostly electrical issues which SURPRISE, SURPRISE, comes up under NTHSA wire chafing (grounding and shorting) known issues. Do you know the caliber of bullet and the specific aiming point to take out the "STABILITRAC"? Just kidding of course. But I am really starting to miss my BMW. So it has fixed 50% of my problems. PRO: I can download many other manufacture codes and get their dongles for this unit at apx $80 per.

Only good for BMW, need to pay $60-100 USD for each extra brand, can only add one extra at a time, PASS

Can this scanner turn on the fuel pump to bleed the pump after changing the filter?

I love this scanner but I had a weird thing happen where EPS light and engine light started flashing at idle and then when I went to the control module screen to get multiple fault codes and hit erase it reset the whole PCM or ECM. Scared the heck out of me.

I think I'm gonna have the I'm the computer guy so I think I'm gonna have to flash the firmware to eYOUuanic

It does not do ECU TCU coding Ford Mercedes RBMW or any other model car for example

When I go to teach the transmission it asks me to go to reverse drive park neutral I did that it won't accept the code that's when I realized that you can't code with this ** thing so if you have any suggestions on what I should do cause I have a flashing malfunction the sign in my car won't start what I should do I never had any transmission problems before this

HEY I BOUGHT THAT N710 It erased the gear ratio on my Mercedes-benz while the engine was running I turned the engine off returned back to the car and now it's in immobilizer mode and won't start

This is good. However, it is expensive to me, as you have to purchase or buy to all other models to have complete data or diagnostic on it.

For MB GL 2016 which one will be your choice this one or the Xtool A30M?

I see the BMW says Chassis stabilization did you know what was wrong with the vehicle? I just got that light on my car. Not sure what it is. It says chassis stabilization drive moderately, but doesn’t affect the car performance at all.

Can it run a DMTL test? That function seems to be almost as rare as hen's teeth in the "cheap" prosumer scan tool range.

How does the system work for Mercedes

Got this for myself for Christmas last year, with the Toyota and Honda software, after alot of research. Great little unit, still figuring out all it can do, not cheap but not expensive when you look at the cost per hour in a shop. Great review!

Ya know. I have never had a BMW. All I hear is horror stories about Mercedes and BMW on expeneive parts, vehicles falling apart, labor expensive etc. I wondeer how true that is. I seen some BMW's that look beautiful that I would not mind owning but too scared to. Inever take my cars to a repair shop unless I have exhausted all options or it's simply a job too big for me. I have the Autel 808. Seems to work great so far but never tested it on BMW. I do wish you had the opportunity to test out these scanners on other brands.
