What would drive a man to walk into a melee like this?
ОтветитьIt’s only an English greeting.
ОтветитьIn a battle like that one hammers with spikes would be the effective weapons, swords can't get through armor in that tight combat formation
ОтветитьWorst moshpit ever man too many crowd killers
Ответитьhow do they know which team they’re in? 😂
ОтветитьThat seems like a very realistic heavy cavalry charge for the period and location. At least to my (very) amateur historian eye.
Ответитьname?
Ответитьgotta be one of the stupidest movie I saw
ОтветитьIt's clear that it's a moviefor the English with a king who kills 20 knights of his own. What's more, there is no merit in winning a battle thanks to archers
ОтветитьHow can they even know which is which? Their armors on both sides looks exactly the same?
ОтветитьHow did they identify friend from foe? everyone seems to be in similar armor with no faces
ОтветитьI've heard that accounts says that the rain of arrows was so thick that the french army was afraid they would go through the slit of their helmets just from the sheer number. Which isn't possible if the arrows were coming from above like portrayed here, they would have to shoot straight at them.
ОтветитьAfter it's us french who Winston the war with Orléans and Castillon (300 french casualities and 3000 english casualities in one Day.
ОтветитьEven though the battle itself was portrayed very poorly (I hate when hollyweird makes these decisions for really no good reason), I love how they captured the brutality of of the melee combat.
Ответитьbattle of Agincourt 1415
ОтветитьEverybody is wearing plate armour.....is that accurate??
ОтветитьQue los ingleses no tenían diarrea y pelearon con un pañal en vez de pantalones??
Ответитьahhh the greatest warrior king to ever live. KING HNERY! KING HENRY !
ОтветитьHow do you know whose who? Crazy
ОтветитьA platoon of naphta throwers would come handy for any side
ОтветитьWasted opportunity :(
Ответитьthat's why English longbow archers are a great special unit in "age of empires" game for PC
ОтветитьOnce Calvary was knocked off fheir mounts, the archers would set about murdering them, using knives, chisels, hammers, picks, to cut, stab, and gouge their visors, behind the knee cap, elbow joints, neckline, throat, armpits, and groin.
ОтветитьFrench knights watching the arrows rain down on them 🕵🏼🕵🏼🕵🏼👓
ОтветитьEnglish / Welch bowmen. Medieval equivalent to 22nd SAS
Ответитьgarbage rendition of a battle for a garbage film
Ответитьmetal concerts got you feeling like this sometimes... one time i got trampled and ppl were getting super compressed its pretty scary because its so hot with everyone swearing you can barley breath
ОтветитьThat looks more like a brawl than fight, I can barely tell the English and French knights apart
ОтветитьThe French cavalry never reached the English infantry, because of the terrain, defences and the archers!!!!! thats the entrie deciding factor in this battle!!!
ОтветитьWhat a horrible way to die... goodness gracious
ОтветитьReading a couple of comments with info I didn't know, the cavalry charged into a plowed field, and the English even watered it down the night before. I'm a farmer, and have moldboard plowed fields. Even on dry ground, it is like walking on pillows. Adding water to that to make mud, it would be utter suicide to attempt to cross that.
ОтветитьI thought the archers had had far more devastating effect before the two lines met. Indeed, I didn't think the French cavalry ever even made contact with the English line. Rather, I thought that, once the French attack was thoroughly broken up, the English, both archers and dismounted knights, advanced on foot and attacked the survivors with axes.
ОтветитьThis is not even close. 6000 out of his 9000 troops were Bowman. The men at arms did not stand a charge. The French cavalry did not make it across the field. It is estimated that around 65000 arrows a minute were launched into the French. Henry had stickpiled arrows for over 9 years. The English were arrayed with the archers on either side of the infantry both had a forrest of sharpened stakes before them. The field was freshly plowed and the Brits watered it down even more the night before.
ОтветитьThe draw weight on those longbows is probably insane, thats probably why they loose them in volleys to give their shoulders and backs time to rest, lol
ОтветитьHow do you even differentiate your enemy when everyone just looks like silver iron men lol
ОтветитьDelicious. Shame I got older.
ОтветитьHow could they tell who's who? I bet there were a lot of friendly killings.
ОтветитьWhen I was watching this. I didn’t know who was who. Is there a difference in armor or helmets?
ОтветитьI bloody despise the hollywood 'as soon as two sides meet it turns jnto a series of duals for some reason' turd.
ОтветитьThat dreadful moment you realize John is no longer the strong young man he used to be, in the midst of the battle. He is older, weaker, he is an alcoholic, and he is likely going to die here. He could even be having alcohol withdrawals during the battle, who knows.
ОтветитьWhat brings a smile on my face is knowing " Dick Whittington ", minus his cat, had a hand in this battle. The London mayor was one of those responsible for raising funds and supplying King Henry & our army. When archers had to draw 150 to 180 lb each arrow fired from a Longbow uncountable times during practice/war, can you just imagine the strength of these hard men in a melee fight.
ОтветитьMovie is good but they forgot to add some colors to mark who is who
ОтветитьWhat movie is this?
ОтветитьThat's the crappest depiction of Agincourt I've ever seen.
ОтветитьName of movie?
ОтветитьCool scene but how the real battle unfolded would of been so much more epic imo
Also where’s all the colors and coat of arms? 🤔
I love how they don't exaggerate the amount of troops.
ОтветитьCheers for uploading this one again 🙏🏻🖖🏻😎
