I’ve been using Mint for almost a year now and unless they raise their prices or cut coverage I don’t foresee myself changing carriers. Being able to pay my phone bill in advance for the year at a 3rd of what my yearly bill expense was on ATT is amazing. Switching myself and my husband to Mint is saving us a easy 1200 per year. Now we both do have older phones a iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini but we are hoping to get another 2-3 years out of them and even when we do have to upgrade we will still have saved money just buying them outright.
ОтветитьThe "unnecessary" plan is steller and only available after you become a customer. 20gb hot spot.
ОтветитьRn, I’m paying $195 p MONTH with an unlimited AT&T plan (for 2 lines). I got laid off and now I HAVE to find a cheaper plan. Thanks for such a great video breaking everything down, helps a lot!
Ответить`Mint does not require you to buy a new phone. My LG VELVET 5G works just fine with MINT at 175 per year when I pay once per year.
ОтветитьI have had mint for a little over a year, it worked great for the first year, but now it doesn't have wi fi calling enabled, and calls are constantly dropped. We had an emergency recently and have decided that cheap plans are not worth a human life if they are not reliable.
ОтветитьLinux Mint 🤔
ОтветитьRecently swapped to Mint Mobile cause I got sick of paying so much for T-Mobile.
Everything works pretty well with the exception of my service sometimes dropping. This requires me to reset my phone and that usually fixes the problem temporarily as this issue just happens when it wants to happen.
Besides that issue occurring every once in a while, when the service works it's really good.
If you're interested in switching, please make sure your phone is paid off and unlocked by your current carrier and follow any and all instructions on setting up your Mint Mobile plan (data settings, Mint Mobile app login info, etc.) before switching.
Idgaf wth they claim as a price point. If you tell me in the same breath that the unlimited plan comes with 35GB of data, they need to stare, cross-eyed into the light of an incoming hyperloop as they think carefully about what 35GB really is... A Fvgking limit! ,.!..
ОтветитьBetween employer and veteran discounts I have yet to find an option that offers me more for less than AT&T. For the same $30 as Mint I get more full speed data and more hotspot data. If I want I still get teh phone discount options.
ОтветитьMint Mobile is GREAT! I pay once a year, and only $~203.14 a year (with taxes and fees). Can’t beat it. I get 5gb of data per month. I hardly use it.
ОтветитьEnd of the day it comes to coverage no point saving $600+ a year when you literally can't do anything data wise on (unlimited plans)
Ответитьa quick side note, if you buy a plan and upgrade they will just charge you whatever the price increase was from your last plan, i.e paid 300 for a 12 month plan upgrade and then you only have to pay the 40 out of the 340 for the unlimited because you paid the 300 earlier.
ОтветитьI don't know if you touch on this in other videos, but looking at the fine print on the "free iPhone" offer I got in the mail from Verizon, their deal is that you pay the full price up front for the phone, then they credit your bill each month over the next three years to 'pay' you back for it. Is 0% a good return for a three-year investment?
Also, how does this compare with T-Mobile's plans for customers 55 and up? IIRC, they are the only carrier that offers senior plans nationwide (Verizon's is FL only, I think.)
I’ve been with Mint for a year now. Once my initial low cost deal ended in June, I gladly renewed for a year of unlimited. My previous AT&T plan was almost $100/month. Now I get, essentially, the same service (actually better as the T-Mobile network has better coverage in my area) for a quarter of the price. The only thing I gave up was international usage which isn’t a big deal. We will have to see if the low prices continue under T-Mobile but, for now, I am locked in for a while at a great rate.
ОтветитьNo bro Textnow uses tmobile network and is free with ads or cheap for data
ОтветитьThey're all expensive
ОтветитьVisible is the only cellular company not ripping you off.
ОтветитьI had Mint Mobile for 2 years. Their customer service always treated me right, and they'd even send me Christmas cards and stuff. However, I eventually just had to switch because I got zero service across 2 different states. If where you're located actually gets service with Mint Mobile, I'd definitely say go with Mint Mobile; but just be prepared that, if you travel, there may be gigantic swaths of areas spanning entire states where you'll have no service what-so-ever.
ОтветитьSwitching from Metro to Mint, but their email that states you old # transferred successfully shows some other number and you can't get into the account - Now I have a project to fix this. It really frustrating & I already hate this carrier
ОтветитьIf you setup a family plan you can sign up for the 12 month plan, but only have to pay it in 3 months increments. So you are signed up for 12 months and pay them $45 every three months. I have been with them for 4 years now and have myself, my wiofe and both adult kids on them.
ОтветитьHave four lines with unlimited everything for $25/line with T-Mobile with 50Gb totally unlimited and throttling only when over 50Gb and the network is overheating. Why go with Mint Mobile?
ОтветитьI used visible. 25 bucks a month for unlimited everything. Cons, speed is capped at 15mbps but is truly unlimited.
ОтветитьAs I am single and live alone, I only need a single line. My first phone carrier was Sprint, and I used to have phone bills that were close to $100/month. More than a decade ago, I switched to Metro PCS and was quite happy with the service and price. Since I was paying $40/month (taxes and fees included), didn't use a ton of data, and had hotspots grandfathered into my plan, I saw no reason to switch. But Ryan Reynolds' Mint commercials got me to look into Mint. I have subscribed to Mint's $20/month plan for about 2 years. Honestly, I kind of like not having to worry about a monthly phone bill. I have Mint service paired with a Galaxy S22 Ultra, and it works fine. I also appreciate the irony of pairing a very expensive phone with a very cheap phone plan.
ОтветитьEffing crap. Can't call or use my phone unless I'm in the effing house on wifi. Doesn't matter what they promise. This service is useless.
ОтветитьGood. Mint doesn't work. Not worth a crap for anything. Need to effing sue the effing mfers.
ОтветитьPaid shill 😂
ОтветитьFrankly, shop and insist on seeing ALL plans from multiple carriers. I’m on Verizon prepaid, and for essentially $15/month, I get 6 GB of data and unlimited cellular. I don’t need unlimited data, so I don’t need a contract with features I won’t use or a plan the gives me more than I need.
Ответитьi got mint mobile as a secondary phone account. its ok for $15. what i wish they did was roll over data. i would use the data via mobile hot spot when going long distances for my tablet. i would probably have almost 200 gbs by now.
ОтветитьHave video saved and will watch later today. But MM is a great service.
I don't have a problem paying for 12 months of service at a time. I got in on a buy 3 and get 3 months of service free.
6 months for dirt cheap. I figured even if the service was dog carp I'd probably get some value out of it for the price.
In my experience TMobile has always been crap for real world service.
Their claims be what they are, real world service sucked.
But a few years back TM bought and merged with Sprint. I had not used it since then. And the TM implementation of Sprints frequencies in to their network.
As a side note. I have always liked ATT service. Not prices but service. MM/TM today is actually better almost everywhere I go than ATT.
I always cary two phones. One is Cricket, personal phone.
The other is MintMobile. My streaming device. I don't listen to radio anymore. There is less on radio than there is on TV and TV is shite today.
99% of the time if I'm in a area where I don't have cricket service, my MM service works great. And to be honest I've never had a situation where I didn't have MM but did have Cricket.
Remember I despise T-Mobile as a company as much as I despise ATT. But it's hard to look past the monthly price of some of the services.
Why is family mobile not on here?
ОтветитьI’ve used Mint for about a year now. No major complaints compared to my previous carrier, though the deprioritized data is annoying once in a while. Not as annoying as spending $35 a month instead of $15 though.
I will say though, Tello’s $6 custom plan is pretty great for secondary devices. 500mb of high speed data and unlimited low speed data, as well as talk and text, is all you really need for a device that’s not your main one, and $6 a month can’t be beat. I used it for a month when I was transitioning from iPhone to Android, so my old phone would still have service whenever I needed it before I got my new phone completely set up.
Thank you for Letting us know about Visible! I’m gonna try their unlimited plan.
ОтветитьI've had mint mobile off and on for a couple years and it's not to bad. I was in the hospital though and couldn't get no service and spotty calls. I've had alot of mvno's and visible was alright when it first came out but using the internet was lagging so often and couldn't make phone calls sometimes. I believe it was $40 a month and that was the only plan and had it for 2 years. US mobile was horrible with customer support especially when porting your number out (good luck with that) it took many phone calls and they'd hang up on you and play games like kids with your phone number. Twigby was actully great but I read somewhere that there internet speed was slower for some reason? I forget the guy's name who reviewed them? I have mint now though and got 3 months for $57 dollars and the other 3 months free so 6 months total for $57.00. Mint's kinda grown on me. The trick is though to stay with them for the time you paid. I did that only one time so. Good Luck. Oh and pure talk, cricket and redpocket are freakin dreadful, the absolute worse mvno's I've ever had and seen by far. Redpocket and pure talk are actually worse than US mobile with porting in and out your phone number and spent 3 days trying to get anything accomplished with all 3. Just my experience with mvno companies.
ОтветитьHow does this compare to Tracfone?
ОтветитьI would rather go with Visible, or Xfinity Mobile that piggyback off of Verizon. Here in the Pacific Northwest, Verizon has way better coverage than T-Mobile.l, and I would know as I have both. On my personal phone, I have Xfinity Mobile, and my employer supplied iPhone is with T-Mobile. Side by side, I'll have 1 or 2 bars on T-Mobile, and full bars on Xfinity Mobile.
ОтветитьUgh, Mint’s hotspot data actually DROPS to 10GB on their Unlimited plan. Blah….
ОтветитьIf mint mobile had better coverage where i live i would have chosen it. Im currently using us mobile.
ОтветитьVisible and USMobile are probably great plans for many people. I've tried both and they are horrible here in Missouri.
I've always liked ATT over everything but sprint was a close runner up.
T-Mobile and Verizon were quite literally garbage here is Saint Louis.
After T-MOBILE bought out Sprint and integrated Sprints frequency's in to their own the script was flipped.
I can get signal everywhere with MintMobile that I can not with Cricket.
For those who don't know. Cricket is a MVNO owned by ATT. It is ATT. It is good, but MM is better. You have no idea how much it pains me to say that. Cricket for most of the time Ive used it has been fantastic. But it feels like ATT is taking bandwidth away from us. The service doesn't seem to work as well as it used to. Where as T-Mobile use to be total dog shite service but with better prices and that I guess is why people used them. Today MM/TM is better than the rest here. In Saint Louis that is.
A very important fact to consider is Mint Mobile unlimited data plan is capped at 10 GB for month for hotspot streaming. This is often over-looked by new people signing up.
ОтветитьThis video is a Visible Advertisement in disguise with that promo code in the middle of the video you should make shit like that clear.
ОтветитьMint Mobile has been EXCELLENT for me.
ОтветитьDO NOT GET MINT MOBILE. Yes it's cheaper but when you paid for their term 3 months, 6 months or 1 year and you want to cancel within that time. you won't get your money refund. Crazy!!!!!! Don't get scam by them like i did. Mistake made and lesson learned!!!
ОтветитьI wish data caps were a thing of the past, I don't have internet right now, so once my 30 GB with boost mobile unlimited plan runs out, my data speeds are like 3G and sometimes 4GLTE.
ОтветитьUS mobile plans are way cheaper than Canadian.
ОтветитьIf its on tmobiles network its pretty garbage when traveling
ОтветитьThanks for sharing Stetson. From reading the reviews I gather the price for the second year will be the same as the first, meaning that if I choose the $15 a month and pay for the year ($180) the amount will be the same for the second year and probably the years to follow?
ОтветитьTello beats them all....
ОтветитьThe deal the Mint offered last week is a bait and switch. The offered $15 for unlimited, and renew to continue savings. I finally got mint sim to work (second sim), with 7 phone calls to support. Then I see on the my account page $40 month to continue plan. Frigging criminal! I am to receive a refund let's see if that happens.
