The "I like me mug" is a reference to the John Candy movie Planes Trains and Automobiles. The car and trunk from the same movie appears later as Wolverine and Deadpool are walking in the void just before they meet Dogpool and Nicepool.

I Have a Theory, Please tell me what you think. Channing Tatum as Gambit is a call back to how he was a rumored to play him in the fox universe, but also... Was he possibly a call back to the 90's cartoon? He is wearing a costume exactly the same from the show produced by 20th century Fox, and also a call back to his character in 22 Jump Street who couldn't do "accents/voices" well?

I have waited ages to mention this easter egg, just to see if he actually realised that he was WRONG. Bye bye bye by N'sync is actually an EASTER EGG. In Xmen 2 when Wolverine steals Cyclops car, Pyro switches on the radio and the song that's playing is Bye Bye Bye by N'sync. Wolverine then switches it off. Wolverine, Pyro and N'sync song in Xmen 2 then amazingly all 3 are in Deadpool and Wolverine. EASTER EGG. Go watch Xmen 2.Its at the part when they flee the mansion and driving on the road
