I think you're editing is too tight. Your sentences run together and I don't have a nanosecond to think about what you said. It's like there aren't any periods at the end of your sentences so it sounds like you just go from one topic to another and I'm still trying to get what you said before and you are onto the next word! Don't be afraid to let your audience hear you breath once in a while.

Does the Master Russian Prefixes course cover secondary imperfectives? For example, перечитать and перечитывать?

I like how the verbs build with prefixes for abundant expressions but it does take time to acquire as its logic and complexity are no easier for me than just learning new words.

I’ve improved my vocabulary and pronunciation ever so slightly by listening to, singing, and looking up translations to Russian post punk songs. My favorite word so far is the one for star, Звезда. However my writing and sentence building is so bad, whenever I look up a Russian word I have to use the text to speech because I cannot type it for the life of me 😅

I did take your vocabulary advice and it's helping. Now that you mention to also learn the different forms, I think that's just as important since I was having a hard time telling certain words apart because of their drastically different forms. I'll take your advice.

Great video! Im just starting to learn Russian and im trying to form sentences describing myself. Id love to see a video describing how to say things like. "I always do..., I sometimes do..., I occasionally do or never do and so on. Maybe these are all done with prefixes. I don't know but im sure you could inform me.

Is "Я" at the end of a word ALWAYS pronounced "A"?
I don't think DuoLingo does that.
Also, how do you know when to pronounce "O" as "O" and when as "A"?
Or is this just pure memorization?

Excellent material. It's fascinating how in the four Indo-European languages that I've studied (English-native, Spanish, Russian, and German) the prefixes/suffixes and prepositions never map precisely from one language to another. The usage is always idiomatic to the particular language.

Думаю иностранцам было бы проще если бы им указывали корень в вариантах слов. Русские на это не обращают внимания так как для них корни интуитивно понятны и видны, а иностранцы могут просто не знать об этом и не видеть общего корня в вариантах слов..

An odd coincidence: I prompted ChatGPT to teach me new words this way: "Please teach me 5 new Russian verbs. Present them in a table. Put the Russian word and its English translation in column 1, a condensed conjugation (formatted like ем, ешь, ест...) in column 2 with singular on the left and plural on the right, and two example sentences in column 3. Please insert lines after each verb containing an exhaustive list of other forms of the base verb with different prefixes with English meaning in column 1, the more common meanings of the prefix (independent of any verb) in column 2, and put 2 example sentences im columns 3."

Hint for English word "over" - it's from Russian "поверх" => (п)овер(х)
For example: cross over the bridge - перейти по(верх) мосту(а)

In Russian верх means top (side or point) and поверх - means above top or over something.
