The only problem I have with the cloud City enhancements, is that in a few of the altered shots, the actors don't act as if they're running next to a bottomless pit when they should be. I personally prefer the White hallways just because the characters are interacting with the environment in the way that they physically should be, but when you take that out and add a railing that leads to nothing but a gas giant, it just makes the actors look weird in my opinion

my personal head cannon with the whole yoda puppet thing is that when his species get close to death (I.E. the OT) they're movement becomes less fluent and more ridged and puppet like.

Filoni stated that they gave Vader eyebrows in Rebels to make him look more like Anakin’s facial model from the Clone Wars and acknowledged that it technically broke canon

Worst change is definitely when Vader changed the line "Get me my ship" to "Alert my space craft" or some shit

Justice for Hayden. He did an absolutely fantastic job portraying Anakin and had the Vader cadence down pact. All of his line deliveries are forgivable and you’d be fine with it if it were James Earl Jones’ voice at the exact same cadence. Because that’s what Hayden emulated in all 3 prequels. Him being in the end of RotJ is great, and I won’t accept anything else. The original actor for Vader didn’t get cut from the movie, he’s still in the Deathstar.
Also sarlaac pit improvements are 10/10, no more desert anus

There are 2 other ways to watch the original versions legally:
VHS tapes, and Laserdiscs.
There were even about 3 different releases of the og trilogy on VHS before the special editions, so they’re somewhat cheap. Especially the “faces” release.

I'd really love to see a fan edit of the original trilogy that incorporates the best aspects of both the original theatrical cut and the special editions to make a definitive OT experience

Hey if anyone here is like me and would much rather see a blu ray than a dvd. There are fan made discs you can find online that are the despecialised editions. May be quite pricey though.

I literally didn't know before two minutes ago that Han running upon a sea of stormtroopers wasn't in the original. I find that so tragic. My whole life I thought that was the joke.

So, I bought the DVD boxed set (later version without theatrical cut), knowing it was the special edition and actually thinking I liked the special edition. And, I do actually mostly prefer the special editions of Start Wars and Empire (Greedo scene aside which I honestly didn't notice until it was pointed out and now I'm p'd about it) but Jedi... Wow... and if I recall correctly the FIRST special edition didn't have that CGI abomination of a band in it, it was only the special special edition that I had just got (and didn't even realize existed) that added it... jarring, terrible, took me right out of the movie, ruined the viewing experience and Hayden at the end was just the cherry on top of the poop pie I was just served....

Actually Disney can't touch the original films, it's in the contract they signed with George Lucas, believe me, Bob Iger's original intention was to remake the original trilogy, but because that goes against the contract, the closest thing he could do was make a sequel trilogy that was close enough to the original trilogy but just different enough to count as a sequel
