Terrible new system ... boring made for non surfing ignorant public commercialism. In 10 years time serious questions will be asked how things ended up here and who was responsible for selling out the sport. Seriously when pro surfing was first opposed ... this is what people feared would happen (a commercial sell out). Bring back the previous tour system ... earn points to be ligitimitly crowned champ by proving your metal in all different surf conditions around the world. So what if it happened an event or two early. No more small attention seeking fluff that is not even fair to all surfers (poor goofies, as a regular my heart feels for them). And we had a cup - Hawaii's Triple Crown.

Not sure what the judges were smoking on finals day....scoring was all over the place...but the right guy won in the end . hard luck Italo but JJF was the most consistent all year and deserves this

Any one think they can do a lay back as good as John’s is just wrong not even the guys on tour can do that turn all these crying Brazilian comments need to get a clue

Surfing comps should be split into categories like snow boarding, skiing etc.
One for for airs and one for real surfing.
