God dammit, wear gloves when they're needed, take them off when they're not needed - you don't need to have gloves on 100% of the time you're in the lab. It just teaches bad habits and students leave them on and touch all kinds of stuff with them on, contaminating themselves and all the stuff around them.

still wondering why the flask used for dilution is so fragile
