I saw him in twilight and harry potter, after that I saw him again in Stranger Things. his previous roles were also greatly served by him but in stranger things he did an excellent job just beyond good performance 😍😍😍

Second comment from me. Jamie’s a triple threat who is very special talent in Hollywood. He’s insane that he played both Henry & Vecna with 2 very different voices. I’m glad that Vecna didn’t pop out in front of me suddenly to scare me in Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights in the Stranger Things 4 house. If Vecna popped out at me, I’d scream bloody murder! 😱.

When I went to Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights last month, of course the first thing my group & I did was go to Stranger Things 4 house. So I wouldn’t be too scared in the house, I couldn’t stop yelling at Vecna (twice I saw him in the house) “You killed Chrissy! You Bastard!” 😱😂🤣. The second time I yelled at Vecna in front of him, out of all people, Steve popped out at me with an axe, and scared me 😂🤣😘😍. Who knew that Steve got revenge on me for Vecna 😂🤣😆!

His acting was amazing! I knew who he is when I watched a movie, Mortal Instruments that he acted in. I was so sad they didn’t continue with Mortal Instruments movies. He had a potential of becoming successful high profit actor. However, I’m glad to see him doing so well in Stranger things!

Just watched the whole season, an amazing performance by Jamie, the whole team was amazing ad well

just think how amazing this show could have been if at any point it managed to make any real sense.

I'm amazed that the Duffer Brothers had been wanting to use this type of villain since the first season. I thought the Mind Flayer was an interesting villain, but they really topped it with Vecna in my opinion. Since this show is an homage to all the stuff in the 80s, the Duffer Brothers said they wanted Vecna to be based on the 80s villains that terrified them when they were kids. They said that Vecna is inspired by Pennywise, Pinhead, and Freddy Krueger.

Pennywise: Searching into the victims' minds for what scares them the most to fuel their fear, especially if it's something they feel guilty about. And just like Pennywise waking up from hibernation every 27 years, Henry Creel killed his mother and sister in 1959 which was 27 years before the events of season 4 happened in 1986 which is also when Stephen King's book "IT" was published. And Henry's fascination with spiders and creating that giant one which became known as the Mind Flayer is based on Pennywise's giant spider form It takes when attacking the Losers during the climax. And when Max was in that dream world with the school dance, balloons were popping blood which is a callback to Pennywise's balloons.

Pinhead: Vecna's personality is pretty similar. The two characters even talk in a similar way. The speeches they give. And it was revealed in one of the films how the character's body was tortured into becoming the villainous monster we know him today. And Vecna's vines strapping his victims so they can't escape is based on the chains that Pinhead uses on his victims.

Freddy Krueger: Vecna's physical appearance is more based on Freddy since he got burnt when he arrived in the Upside Down. He even gets caught on fire in "The Piggyback". They use a claw when killing this victims. He will makes his victims afraid in their nightmares just like what Vecna was doing when he put his victims under their trances. Both Henry and Freddy were viewed different when they were children which led to them torturing animals. Many stuff in this season were based on "Nightmare on Elm Street" The Duffer Brothers said that Nancy was named after the character from the "Nightmare" films which is why they had her fall under Vecna's curse and end up in that nightmare world in which she sees something crawling out of Barb's mouth, just like how in the original Nightmare film, Nancy sees stuff crawling out of Tina's mouth. Chrissy's death as Eddie watches and is accused of killing her is based on Tina's death in that movie and Rod framed for it. Robert Englund who played Freddy Krueger was the one who played Victor Creel when Nancy and Robin visit him.

I have to say, I'm really impressed what they did for Vecna. He is a perfect blend of villain characters to become the perfect one for a TV show that's dedicated to 80s nostalgia. I wonder if Vecna's defeat/weakness in season 5 will be similar to either of the ones that Pennywise, Pinhead, and Freddy had.

I love how they actually put Henry/Jamie in the vecna costume because in the show it actually is supposed to be Henry turned into vecna but they could’ve used someone else to be vecna but they didn’t.

VECNA is actually one of the greatest villians of all time.

Vecna is such a compelling character. I have always been drawn to villains . They’ve always seem more real and organic, as opposed to good people. When you’re so called a good person, there are lines you don’t cross. too much restrictions and fear of what if you go to far. Villains are just… free . liberating.
