Generative AI could add $187B to Canada economy by 2030: Microsoft

Why are you asking to Tech CEOS who invent these technologies? They will never tell you they invented this to control the world's data. They will ALWAYS say whatever they build is GOOD for us.

Please tell me how the new money will be added by AI? AI is not a product the people consume. Please don't fool us. There are thousands of software people and companies are using already to be productive and and perform day to day tasks. AI will destroy the economy it won't help us to GROW it. Please check your facts before reporting directly from tech CEOs. There are conflict of interests here.

Is that net after job displacements?

Microsoft has a larger market cap than the Canadian economy without currency conversion. The Canadian government is stuck on stupid. They think that if they just keep pumping air into the real estate bubble via mass immigration, and exporting raw resources to the US, all will be well. Meanwhile, AI will be eliminating many jobs. "Conservatives" talk about UBI. Who is going to pay the UBI for all the immigrants brought into the country that will not have jobs?

The most productive labour forces are in germany and france. Maybe instead of chasing ai which microsoft has an interest in promoting, we tap into that 25 or 30 percent productivity boost from giving workers enough time off to recover from work stress? People drive this economy. If they get burned out and inefficient no amount of technology as has been pushed for years will fix it. It hasnt fixed the problem yet so why would ai help in a real way?
