This is by far the funniest episode imo. They played it so straight until the big reveal that yeah there was a glaring problem XD

I understand why Mewtwo won (because of mind control apparently even though the way he died had nothing to do with mind control) but I feel like they disrespected Shadow. Killing him with a spoon was lame. He's fast enough to avoid the spoon, even if he was a little mentally out of it, and he didn't take off his rings, either. I think the most realistic way this battle would have ended was with Shadow and Mewtwo coming to an understanding of each other and leaving with respect after Mewtwo read his mind. They're pretty much the same. And Shadow is not supposed to be an a-hole! That's the bad writing of his own game! If the writers of this episode did research on Sonic X and SA2, why do they not know that? Maybe he is arrogant but not an a-hole

A lot of people say that this one was terribly researched (which yeah it was, death battle was pretty bad at that until like season 7), but a lot of people say that shadow was really low balled and he would instantly kill mewtwo which, I mean, yeah I do think hes stronger and faster, but I think a lot of people are sleeping on how strong pokemon are, especially mewtwo to who's one of the strongest. Pokémon as weak as happiny can preform a seismic toss canonically, or at the very least can lift gigantic boulders with ease, and Pokémon like Lucario can contain an island level explosion. Mewtwo in pokken threw a shadow bomb that damaged a ridiculously large portion of the planet, and he's also comparable to plenty other powerful legendaries like Giritina. I'd still say shadow is stronger and definitely faster, but Mewtwo still wouldn't be instantly KO'd and his primary abilities counter shadow, so him winning isn't THAT farfetched.
