John is agreat singer and has the biggest heart and soul hope he recovers from his mouth cancer beaut Aussie bloke
ОтветитьYou also need to watch John sing When the War is Over 🇦🇺🦘
ОтветитьWhat vocal warm up techniques?
Picks a song. Sings it. Nails it. Every. Freaking. Time!
John used a cover of Led Zepplin Black Dog as a warm up song along with sound checks.
ОтветитьLove how timeless this anthem is. I wasnt even born when this was recorded but know it word for word. You should check out johns version of this for fire fight australia which is a benefit concert for our firefighters after a horrible bushfire season a few years ago. He was 70 yrs old and still sings this epicly. Praying his current recovery goes well as he had surgery for throat cancer.
ОтветитьAge of Reason. One fan posted that all the music for that was arranged by David Hirschfelder, John's keyboard player. Look up David's musical pedigree - astonishing (ditto all band members and backing singers). See the Banners Fall - towards the end of the song John catches a package thrown from the audiences - whoever threw it had brilliant aim, and did John look surprised! ! 14.11.23. UK. E ❤
ОтветитьGreat that you score and even better as an aussie, John gets a 10 :) great video mate.
ОтветитьWarm up is black dog😂
ОтветитьAnd just think, there were two more encores after this epic moment: Help and It’s a Long Way to the Top! John Farnham is the GOAT 😍🇦🇺
ОтветитьBlack dog is his warmup song
ОтветитьI am an Australian and score all you wish . It can only be a good thing .
ОтветитьThis performance just brings so much joy. He's the whole package, stage presence, performance and of course "The Voice"❤️
ОтветитьWatch playing to win another great song
ОтветитьHe's doing mic stand tricks
ОтветитьAlso, forgot to strongly suggest an AC/DC hit that John just loved to do …Long way to the Top…
ОтветитьSo nice to hear John’s work being reacted to. He’s our national treasure. I love your genuine enjoyment.❤ I went to his concerts whenever I was able to and it’s magic to be in the same space.
ОтветитьAlways plays with stand. Black dog warm ups
ОтветитьYou should review John live with Anthony Warlow singing the Operetta Grenada. He can even do Opera!
ОтветитьThanks for this reaction. I really love the details you pick out, and how you relate their significance.
ОтветитьHe warms up to black dog
ОтветитьThe best part is, John Farnham, legend that he is down here, is a humble, magnificent man. You can run into him at the shops, and he’s happy to say “G’day”, and have a chat and a photo.
Recently he’s been battling cancer, but every true blue Aussie is behind his full recovery!
Great reaction, mid 80’s
ОтветитьI think he went downhill after his first hit, Sadie the Cleaning Lady.
ОтветитьThe amazing thing about John, is that his career has lasted for so long, that there are sometimes 3 generations in a family that love listening to his songs. :)
ОтветитьHe throws the mike stand up and catches
ОтветитьHe warms up with black dog...watch it
ОтветитьHe is Australia. I’m so happy you caught the mic stand throw and catch. Many miss it. ❤😂
ОтветитьYou missed the 70s and 80s Party as well. This was 1988. Performed in Melbourne, Johns home tow. There were 88,000 in the audience, including me.
ОтветитьI would like to suggest John singing Amazing Grace with two of his wonderful backing singers and Angel with the other female backing single
ОтветитьI’m Australian and have been a fan of Farnsy for decades. While I love this song I prefer his version of “Help” or his own song “Burn for You”. Great singer, consummate performer, humble and genuinely nice man. Amazing that this song was a worldwide hit except America - some fool over there remixed it before release and took out the claps at the start. John used his mike stand in all his concerts, waving it around like some sort of baton.
ОтветитьAwesome reaction to Farnsey 💥👍
ОтветитьAnything (Barnsey) from Cold Chisel, any duet Farnsey and Barnsey.. Especially, "When somethings wrong with my baby"
Also the Jesus Christ Superstar stage performance "Gethsemane"
At the end of the day brother you can't please everyone. Well this Aussie approves of the scoring.
ОтветитьI just thought Gee this man has a saggy neck and then I noticed that it was a tattoo. lol.
ОтветитьHe sings amazing grace with Veneta fields and Lisa Edwards and I can’t remember Lyndsey’s surname.
ОтветитьSings songs like Black Dog
ОтветитьThe Mike stand is part of his act
ОтветитьRE mike stand.. Up at 5.30, 5.31 catch the stand 1 handed - while starting the next line of lyrics at full power with his neck bent in the effort of catching!
I was at a concert in Sydney.. much smaller venue.. he tossed the mike stand maybe 3 metres / 9ft into the air.. nearly hitting the spotlights and did it about 16-20+ times during the concert as he was singing.
He dropped it a few times.. foot-picked it up, then ( im my concert experience :P ) got frustrated and chucked into another part of the stage.. All while belting out the song.
I think He is a bit of a perfectionist.
Anyway, I guess thats why hes always readjusting the length cause the stand gets bent :P
BTW Cool with the scoring !!
Us aussies in the 80's used to score anything that moved. :P
Howdy.
Warmups. For what its worth, in the case of Ray Martins TV show, "Please Don't Ask Me - TV Talk Show Version" warmups = none, AND he was trying the remember the lyrics from a long time not singing the song AND telling all sorts of stories and jokes :P
Apparently his range changes depending from operatic, A4,C5,D5#
ОтветитьHe has done concerts everywhere in Australia and in war torn countries
ОтветитьJohn is known as the Voice 😊
ОтветитьGreat reaction video.
ОтветитьYou need to read these comments
ОтветитьThis concert was recorded in 1989. The song was released in 1986.
