The EU would have less problems with Hungary if the EU would stop trying to rewrite Hungarys domestic laws.

What no one wants to talk about is how the EU said it has no extra natural gas, diesel, gas or oil it can sell Hungary to replace what it is buying from Russia.

The EU demanded Hungary collapse its economy in solidairity with Ukraine. Meanwhile, Germany, the UK, and Italy bought $100 billion in Russian oil for 8 months after Russia invaded Ukraine.

Nations should honor the will of their voters, NOT bureaucrats in Brussels. Hungary said they will cooperate with the EU on Ukraine, once the EU gives it the money it is owed. This is a reasonable request.

Viktor Orban is not hypocrite like the one's in west.

There are three crucial questions where Orbán’s answers meet with the approval of the majority of the voters: migration, war, gender. Apparently, the people of many EU countries also like his answers. The leaders of these countries couldn’t care less what their voters think.
The Hungarian opposition has no answers to these questions either.

If I am right, this video criticizing the best, and the only EU leader, who stands up for his nation, who brought back Hungary to the map, who created a notifiable economy growth from nothing ? All the other EU leaders are failing to protect their citizens , wasting their tax payers money on the corrupt Ukraine, and the most dangerous Palestine. If EU always uses petty threats of not giving funds to countries that DEMOCRATICALLY ellect a conservative party to rule than Hungary will be allowed and required in my eyes, to use whatever means to get the undemocratic EU to get its head out of clouds and be fair for once , give the hungarian nation what they deserve.

Excellent leader, Budapest is one of my favourite cities to visit, it's safe, open, friendly people and i can see how well EU money has been used. Unlike France and Germany no dodgy/unsafe immigrant ghettos. Visit Budapest, amazing city that will confound all your expectations.

You forgot to mention the results of the national consultations in all the major issues that concern the Hungarian people. I wish other countries would follow this practice. For example, Switzerland has tradition for centuries to ask its people. Well, that's democracy. Rule of majority...

I think it's about time the EU and NATO made it truly clear to Hungary that it needs them more than they need it. Shaking down the very organisations that are trying to lift them up is a complete disgrace.

DW is seriously out of touch - why shouldn't Orban use its NATO membership as a pressure point when dealing with Sweden to extract concessions. The "liberal" west has been unofficially doing this for years behind the scenes.
