Having watched the Lost Daughter recently & heard MG talk about it, i listened to this talk about The Kindergarten Teacher ( which freaked me out even more than The Lost Daughter — i’d just forgotten how much). As the other comments note, she is honest & thoughtful. But what i noticed most was how she talked about working with a child actor (the same she had & talked about them re. The Lost Daughter). Very insightful — i suspect other directors may do something similar but i have never heard it explained so clearly & precisely. Her films make me uncomfortable, but she truly has something worthwhile to show. Thank you, MG. 🙏🏽
