WTF IS WARHAMMER 40K? - EXPLAINED - FULL BEGINNER'S GUIDE + EVERY MAJOR FACTION | Lore/History

Okay so I am officially back in business. Starting with a new series of Primers. These will be a shorter format and cover key parts of 40K.
What I have heard from many of you guys is that longer content can be initially off putting for new people - some of you want to introduce your friends to 40K but giving them even a 30 minute video can be too much let alone an hour - - with that in mind tomorrow I will have a shorter version of this video around 10 mins long for those who want a briefer intro. I have tried to put into both these videos as much critical information as I can - - This series will run alongside all the long form content.

After being utterly disapointed by newer star trek series and movies and the new stuff in themass effect series,i was looking for another huge scifi universe to entertain myself.. a copuple friends suggested me to check this out.. soo..lets see.. lol

A very good video. It took me like 5 videos to get to a decent video that actually explains the factions. All the other videos blab too much and tried to make their videos into “tv” shows and had multiple Millenials babbling about everything else but explaining the factions. If you’re an oldie than you should know 40k comes from old school Tolkein and D&D lore, but in the far future.

Idea for an episode: traitor spacemarines that are not associated with chaos? Are there any? What is their history and current status? Any rogue or independent space marines lore?

Im a noob with warhammer and whenever i saw pictures or videos of it i assumed the space marines were the good guys and the half human half machines things called servitors and tech priest's etc were the enemy.

Already been in the hobby for several years now, over $3,500 worth of minis and terrain. But even then the lore makes the whole thing so much more fun. If there were no minis and just the setting was left I would still be absolutely invested. What an amazingly dark and beautiful sci-fi setting/universe.

40k seems ideal for a high budget, sprawling series. The real challenge to making it would be not getting lost in the enormity. You couldn't tell one story that encapsulates everything, but have arcs that focus on some elements while only being touched by others.
