Didn't convince me. I still throw up whenever I watch that fight. It was a terrible choice to change the animation on such a pivotal moment for the series, it felt off and made the situation anti-climatic.

He's cool but that Naruto and pain fight look retarded as hell

This man made an animation that looks smooth af whilst getting interviewed. I couldn't even animate a single punch even if I needed to save my life and this man made a sword fight within a short time interview.

He's the director but he's not the one who makes the whole clean up, etc. Have that in mind.

As a younger kid, I wasn't sure if I was a fan of a the Pain vs Naruto animation because of how silly it looked, but now I love the animation because it is silly, but anime is also entertainment.

Thank you for so much Yamashita, not only in this figth, but also in og Naruto.
Is a shame that a lot of people are unable to see the majestical work he did in Naruto vs Pain, then again Naruto fans arent famous for their good taste precisely.xd
In a serious note, that figth is probably one of the best figths in the franchise, and even if people dont like the change in style, they should admit that the coreography, animation and overrall direction was superb at least.

I remember watching this as a kid when it first aired, naruto shippuden was so amazing until after the pain arc and fillers took over. I didnt even know some people thought the animation wasnt good. I mean its an anime its meant to be epic, not realistic

He is a great animator and I love a lot of his work to this day, HOWEVER that episode with Pain vs. Naruto was not a good fit with his style of animation. Everywhere else but that one episodd, his style shows its splendor and looks phenomenal.

the ones who complains about the pain fight vs kurama lacks artistic mindset and creativity .

I remember seeing this episode in Japan. I like the animation really much. The character's movements are so smooth and well-executed. This man is my favorite animator in that episode.

We're not talking about animation but the stupid Looney tunes choreography that has nothing to do with Naruto. Naruto Fox's fight against Pain was one of the worst I've ever seen in the series.
