Love your video's... do you have any suggestions for helping with the control of your Sims? Whether that be something we should turn on or off, or mods? Example, I had a kid starving... one parent busy with the other kid... I literally kept telling the other one to pickup and feed the kid. Now, I know it can be buggy and I know you can debug them... tried all that. I will say it happens a lot, way too much where they just outright won't do a simple task you need them to do. I finally stopped the other parent working with the other kid, went over and fed the kid. Nothing in the way, nothing like the character being frozen... the second I stopped giving him the commands to pick up the kid and feed it... he just walked off, went and started doing cross stitch, LOL! Won't lie, he pissed me off so bad, I clicked "Kill" and then "death by poison", LOL! I was literally done dealing with him. I had checked in CAS, he was not lazy, he was supposed to be family oriented. I thought maybe it was his personality traits or something causing it... because I have noticed it worse with some Sims over others. I did go to the gallery and just download a new husband, LOL!

I also love the culinary career just because once you finally finish it, your cooked food never goes off. Maybe immersion breaking but super handy

you wanna garden without ugly greenhouses that has only a roof, change the settings on the seasons ... theres a setting u disable the weather effects on the plants

I downloaded the romance expansion pack (forgot the name) and honestly I hate how complicated it is. I really like the fun build mode items and wallpapers but it really killed the fun in playing the sims for me. Is there a way to refund packs?

On the topic of short lifespan i always play with this setting but what drives me nuts is university is basically unplayable because they don’t accommodate for short lifespan so you will graduate when you’re an elder. I keep praying one day they realize this was an oversight and fix it but they never do. Normally, I will go for a week and then cheat the degree. I already have MCC command and UI cheats downloaded but if anybody knows any good mods for this, let me know or if they’re already in MCC command, and I can’t find it let me know.

Freelance careers suck due how broken those skills are so unrealistic on the sims (minus the programer one because there is so little money on that).
Freelancer artist is such a waste of time and money, making you do revisions over and over again. While you could just paint constantly and sell to thin air.

Honestly, I have Get to Work as well as Businesses & Hobbies, yet I still wind up using the yard sale tables all the time. It's just so much easier!

unpopular opinion i love the chaos of neighborhood stories 🤣 takes care of the world building/story telling for me

I personally use neighborhood stories. I personalize it so unplayed households can join careers, have romance and friendship changes. Turn off for played households, of course. I think it makes townies a bit more real if they can develop relationships and have careers. I hate it when every adult townie is unemployed and feels so unrealistic.

I have to disagree w Neighborhood Stories: Bob Pancakes died in my Sims and I didn't even notice til I scrolled over the household one day. Eliza is a single mom and THRIVING 💅

If you do want neighborhood stories on, every thing in it can be deactivated individualy, so example, disbale adopt a horses. Then no household will adopt a horse, but will still do all the other stuff. You can even change it for each individual household. So you could choose to just turn of adopt horses for the households that are not in the horse ranch world. Sure it will change time to change for each individual household, but If you want story progression for the nonplayed households, they can be mixed and matched. You don't HAVE to have all the neighborhood stories categories active. They can be deactivated one by one. So if you have a household you want to be able to have kids on their own, you can just have "have baby" active for that household. Neighborhood stories are very costumizable, but so many don't show it in their videos.

I just made a basegame starter house and basegame park to share. Yawn. MODS make the game so much better! Go get mods!

I don't wanna be bitchy, but I just have to give a warning. If you play with mods, be sure these are on the newest update! If they aren't they break the game. Also, I had experiences with updated mods which broke my game anyway. I just want to say: be careful. And check if mods can break each other. This problem I had myself as well more than one time! Just saying.

I started playing with mods a week ago and omg this is live changing. Basemental mods and wicked are crrrrazy i'm having so much fun now

This is a great tutorial - I love building more than playing - but I have a few different save files - The first one I have is where my Legacy Sims are and all the lots are ones from the original game that I have either played in., renovated (one of my favorite things to do) or lots that I have created. Then, I have a save file for lots and sims that I have downloaded off of the gallery. There are some really talented creators out there, like yourself, and it is a pleasure to just get a first Sim view of their created content. Thanks for putting out these amazing videos... and don't worry about us seeing something that we may or may not should have seen - it just lets us know you are human like the rest of us.

I do the first one all the time! I use it to cheat the micro homes too while giving my sims plenty of living space

I love using houses from the gallery, but I do tend to view them more as a shell than as a completed house. Mostly because nearly every bloody house on the gallery uses the 'move objects' cheat, and I don't. I think the works works fine as it is. I don't need cheats to add tons of clutter (and a ton of lag!).

A problem a lot of houses in the gallery have though is that people have spent HOURS meticulously placing thousands of items to make a house look 'cute' and 'lived in' and cluttered......but they haven't actually bothered to playtest the bloody thing! So half the stuff in the house isn't reachable or usable, so you then have to spend an hour deleting or moving most of the items anyway, to actually make the house functional.

That's why I treat them as shells. Whatever is inside is irrelevant, because I'd delete it all anyway! I'll find a house that looks cool on the outside, and I'll deal with the interior.

I do this to buil tiny houses (32 squares) and put a fence and a roof outside. This way I have the benefits of a tiny house and the space of a normal one. 🤣
