Just curious how much a project like this cost
ОтветитьThat is NOT a cabin! At the very best it's a decent sized hunting stand.
Are you going to pull the wheels off a Pinto, throw a pillow in it and call that a cabin too? 😓
That is a big outhouse. Nothing more.
Makes me want to buy some land, and build a home on it like this. Not just a getaway.
ОтветитьMy hammer is retired ,but your video inspires.Stacking wood is a simple technique.Everyone has the ability “just go nail it”.Thanks
ОтветитьY'all are so inspiring. Thank you so much for all you do :)
ОтветитьHey guys what's the height difference between front and back wall?
ОтветитьWait is his wife "Girl in the Woods"??? Words are colliding!!!
ОтветитьDoesn’t it feel good to hammer nails with a hammer these days it’s all pneumatic nailers; not much skill required for that
ОтветитьThe girl doing the woodjob ♥
ОтветитьThat place looks perfect to see some animals like deer or moose, geese maybe later when they are migrating. Very pretty location.
ОтветитьWhy do you wear a ballcap, given that it doesn't protect the side of your head?
ОтветитьIs the cabin attached to the ground in any way? Seems like a strong gust of wind could topple it.
ОтветитьMy grandparents were so ahead of their time. My grandpa built their first house but he had to do it in sections so they had to live in a small area and then it expanded bit by bit. Just like people are doing now and then when they moved out to the country like my grandma wanted, they did the same thing and started with a small camper trailer, that evolved into a bigger camper trailer, and that evolved into a little kitchen they built and then eventually my grandpa built their house.
They also had a little house behind their first house called the clubhouse that was the original tiny house! My dad and uncle and aunt used to hang out in it!
The Farleys have always been trendsetters. 😂
You can tell that both of them had a good upbringing. I wish I had been raised that way.
ОтветитьHighway2
Ответитьso interesting and learning hopefully one day I can have my tiny house.
Ответитьshow us how it looks today
ОтветитьWatching this made me so thankful that my husband insists on using power tools when we do this stuff!
ОтветитьIt is very inspirational to see this young couple is so strong and smart to realize your dream by hard work and determination. So sweet of using grandpa's saw. He will be really happy. You guys and your ancestors are the people who built this country with your bare hands. The future belongs to your kind, very touching video, thank you for sharing and all the best.
ОтветитьThe sheer number of times I cussed watching this lol... "Holy expletive... this is incredible!"
ОтветитьWill this work for a 20x20?
ОтветитьYes, but can they afford the land and deal with our runaway unelected bureaucratic complex regulating our lives and options?
ОтветитьVery cool. I wonder though if you might consider using ear protection for the next project. You're hammering a lot of nails and pieces of wood into position and I know how loud that can be. Just a thought. Thanks!
ОтветитьI agree. We should all have the knowledge to build our own house. Then build onto it as we need more rooms. I dont want to spund sexist, but young blonkes know bugger all on carpentry and they need to know, at least the basics 😊
ОтветитьAs a novice off gridder/homesteader in Australia I absolutely agree that a string line is extremely handy and a versatile tool that can't be done without.
Keep it real and radical dave
Absolutely wil buy one as soon as they come to Canada. Will be my 8th ride. Would I like a BMW R1250GSA? Sure, but the price of that is eyewatering. For $8K I will have a lot more fun!
ОтветитьThey don't want us to build our own house. Everything is got to be by city permits and builders certifications . And if you buy a land an build the hose yourself they gonna make u destroy the house you just build on your own once you tell them your knowledge came from you tube.
ОтветитьI think I commented years ago when I first watched this. But it’s worth another comment. Dave, you make those of us that have never built a building feel very empowered to build. We’re yet to take on the project of an enclosed building g, but this video is saved in my playlist for when we do. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with the rest of us.
ОтветитьThis is the best cabin building video on the internet
ОтветитьThank you so much for posting this video, your grandpa would be proud, just a beautiful and insightful video all around, thank you again :)
ОтветитьWhat a great team you two make
ОтветитьI wouldn’t have cut all those branches off. I’d have just put the cabin further over.
ОтветитьExcellent video! As always with you two!
ОтветитьDo you have the price list?
ОтветитьWoah. You're the people from alone!!!!
ОтветитьNow I just need very affordable land to put it on
ОтветитьWonderful build and cabin. Out of curiosity what kind of planning permission did you need (and what State are you in) ?
ОтветитьYour narration reminds me of Dick prenikey( not sure about spelling)
ОтветитьMy ex-wife used to make concrete cookies just not on purpose. I told her once... like I said, ex-wife 😮
ОтветитьFor a second- third, fourth house.
ОтветитьIf y'all believe there'a anything anyone can afford y'all are severely out of touch with reality as there are people who can't even afford food.
ОтветитьWe laid down a thick sheet of plastic on the dirt and piled rocks on it that we had laying around. This created a cheap vapor barrier that extended the life of the flooring.
ОтветитьWho would have thought people could afford to build a house the size of a mulchbin. Unbelievable.
ОтветитьThat’s in the US here AU $500k to put it on.
ОтветитьI've dug deep on the topic and finally in Deloris Cannons first book of the convoluted series one of her regressions mentions the vibration I've been experiencing. According to this testimony that vibration is getting ready to go and when one comes back it's feeling the higher vibrations diminish to rejoin the lower 3rd density of our human form. Totally natural and wonderful. From my experience of just acknowledging what's going on and paying attention without judgement it just fades as about as quick as you re-engage your body. As far as I can tell it's a different part of the consciousness that I have no memory of where it went or what it did... Maybe above the veil work that I'm not partial to... Maybe someday. Sometimes it comes on right when I lay down, and I just figure that it's got important stuff to do and is chomping to get going. Hope this helps!
ОтветитьI do enjoy your videos... especially since you have all the wood you need on your already BEAUTIFUL property. Thanks for the building knowledge. You make it look easy! 😊
ОтветитьInterested in building something like this, does anyone who has built something like this have an estimate on how much cost, and how many man/woman hours it took to build? Thanks!
ОтветитьHola amigo, hermosos trabajo, tiene los planos que los compartas, o alguna web donde comprarlos. muchas gracias.
ОтветитьLove the build but I'd have cemented the leg poles
