This would be scary nowadays, fighting each day for their lives and killing, but as a born philosopher I love to associate and compare today's reality with that of those times. It is conclusive why and how things has changed. It's sad how majority doesn't care or are not shown the importance of existence awareness.

I never knew until recently, but this is based off the Michael Crichton book Eaters of the dead. It is fairly accurate to the book and the book is excellent.

i remember watching this on tv when i was a kid. i wasn't allowed to watch violent movies, but my parents were away. this movie blew my mind. i remembered it now and rewatched to see if it holds up. damn good movie, dont even watch the trailer, im telling you the movie is worth your time.

First of all, I love The 13th Warrior. Its completely underrated, the quintessential hidden gem.

But this Trailer is just hilariously bad. If thats the level of marketing they put together for this movie, no wonder it flopped.

This novel was good and these movies were better. 13th Warrior and Beowulf. I saw Beowulf in theaters.

This Holy Man was a outcast. The Pharoh kicked him out of Africa. And he lived with Vikings. He didn't want to fight..

I remember watching this many years ago and this stuck on my mind, a really great Viking movie for all the ages, the saddest part is when the viking leader succumbed to his wounds but still managed to sit in his throne!

Fun fact: They casted really huge and tall actors for this to make Banderas look small.

Ahmed ibn fadlan is the real name of the 13th warrior and he had never fell in love with kings wife infact he was a traveler.
The king ordered him to explore some lands and write some reports for him.
