What I love about this is that it truly is going to lean into psychological concepts and show how an unhealthy pairing happens, what they give each other. (Also, potentially how they become unbalanced when one party's needs are focused on to the exclusivity of another's.)

I'll be so happy when I never have to hear about this version of joker ever again.

Whilst I agree with most of what you are saying, I think that there is an underlying sense of fear in this film (as in the first one) because this Joker is unrestrained - there is no one (no Batman) coming to save you.

its a role reversal of the joker harley story, i truly believe its harley pulling the strings and manipulation of Arthur. She's planting ideas in his head through lyrics in songs

QUENTIN TARANTINO painted the perfect picture for the first one. Audience subversion is peak description for this entire franchise. Joker is the bad guy. But he’s a bad guy that deserves justice.

I haven't felt comfortable seeing a Batman film since the 3rd Dark Knight one b/c of the theater shooting. Like, I would not be able to enjoy this movie in the theater because I'd be like "Has some weirdo lost touch with reality and is going to shoot up the place? Like, for crying out loud, over in Japan, they have Japanese Joker running for office. Like, this stuff speaks to very brain-broken people. I think you put it perfectly tho, it's hyper-romanticized violence.

The singing will be done mostly by the original artists because most of the music is in their (joker/Harley) heads; musical therapy.

The first was such an overhyped, self important entity. And this one seems just as pretentious and that it thinks it’s smarter than it is. I don’t know, I’m just really put off by these films and it surprises me.

To me, the awkward (for non-French speakers) title is something this Arthur Joker would find amusing. A cheesy pun that only he gets and others don't. Not saying it's good or bad, I get why some don't care for it.

I do agree about it being a spectacle film. That’s what a lot of films are now. Don’t get me wrong I loved the first Joker, but I don’t rewatch it compared to Batman 1989 or the Dark Knight. I think this film will do very well and there’s a good chance I will see it. But it’s not a watch more than once kind of movie for me.

If you're expecting the same in terms of violence or other things, you'll be surprised," Barbera said. "When I saw the film in L.A. at the beginning of February there were four or five of us in the screening room, including writer Scott Silver, and we were astonished, our mouths were open at the end of the screening. It is a darker film." "Barbera praised Phillips' creative risks for the sequel and believes fans will appreciate it. "It's a dystopian musical, or a musical of sorts. I think it's one of the most daring, brave and creative films in recent American cinema," Barbera said.
