Excellent guide, so helpful! I'd also add another tip for Italy - ATMs most times dont charge fees but some bank ATMs are known to charge fees nowadays also - so its worth finding those without fees. I use the ATM Fee Saver mobile app - it gives a list of the fee-free or low fee ATMs in Italy along with withdrawal limits for foreign card holders. I've used it many times and saves up on sooo much unnecessary expenses. Of course, decline conversion at foreign ATMs

Regarding power outlets, if coming from outside Europe please bear in mind that in Italy mains electricity is 230 volts.

I'm German who lives in Italy whose partner is Italian. I advice visitors who couldn't speak italian, to know your budget well and let it known, once you order take note of the prices of what you order. Avoid arguements over small things, so pay as you order, specially if its just a cup of coffee, coz' some restaurants in touristic areas take advantage of tourist, they can over charge and not during high season. "Do give tip" not unless you feel you got ripped off.

I've been living in italy for a year now and I can confidently say ORDER A CAPPUCCINO WHENEVER YOU WANT. In fact, as long as its legal, do whatever you want at the time you want to do it.

Next time, if you want to give some advice, split from the beginning between north, center and south, ad, de facto, these are different countries with different rules. Ciao.

Ordered a cappuccino in the afternoon in Milan and the barista told me they never drink cappuccino after lunch because of the milk.... I was quick to point out the ice cream everyone was eating... He laughted and made me a double cappuccino. Some "rules" are just nonsene.
